This is so so complex..... This is hardest of the hardest compositions. Madz is a true masterful in choir they amaze many spectators on super dynamic their voices and mixes.... Even they lost here i believe masters and judges will be totally blown away how powerfull madz is theres nothing madz cannot do frankly speaking totally freaking monsters in professional choir

I really love the dynamics of the Philippine Madrigal Singers! I love the murmur and then the explosion! "Nakakakilabot" Sagayan was indeed a high art composition! Thank you Sir Nilo Alcala for this wonderful creation and of course, the Philippine Madrigal Singers for the out of this world interpretation! Bravi! Bravi! Bravi!

I’m a fan but this is a good example that you cannot always win because of complexity. But rather choose a simple harmony that transcends to human soul and speaks to the heart. Hope Madz will learn from this.

I'm shocked when they started standing up :(( I'm scared but because the intensity is very on point which is excellent

I think, MADZ did not won simply because the judges doesn’t want asian choir(esp. madz) to be the first choir to win thrice in EGP. So obvious.

Did they win 3 times? They lost 2017 to vessna, did they join in 2018?

Totally disagree. Vesna's performance was really beyond amazing that time. Their tone quality, intonation, dynamics, all of their performance was a jaw open for me. If I have to compare them with this, I still choose them with no doubt.

@choirenthusiast4545 Жыл бұрын
@@styy9119 lmao have you heard Vesna’s Alleluia? I don’t think there’s any choir in the Philippines that can pull off that piece as good as Vesna. Plus if you listen closely, particularly at the end of this piece, they did not blend well with the kulintang. They were a little flat, plus some cuts were not precise. Flat din yung Lux Aeterna nila sa simula. Kahit gaano kadifficult ang pyesa, dapat di compromised yung quality. 😜 It was still a great performance pero yung difficulty, linis, precision, intonation, etc., Vesna talaga panalo. EGP na po yan, pauntian ng mali, or kahit di ikaw yung pinakamalinis, dapat yung impact nung performances althroughout should be able to overshadow yung imperfections. And Madz was not able to do that.
