@@itsallon3 the rebalanced ranks. What what I’ve heard it mostly affects NA. I think if you were low ranked before youre likely to move up, and if you were high ranked before you’re likely to move down.

@@itsallon3 Like @The Fine Game of Nil said its a re-balance. Prolly affected Oceania too since they had a similar rank distribution to NA. But yea basically 52% of the player base for NA was in silver whereas for regions like Europe less than 20% of the playerbase was silver. They want to reset ranks for NA and stuff I think

@@Yellowsubmarine61 As a North American Player, let me tell you how shit is going down. I lost 1 game, won my next. And I found myself at Legendary Eagle from Gold Nova 1. Several of my silver friends went from S1-S3 to GN 4- MG. And along with that, various other players have been moved to ranks such as supremes, global, and LEM. Basically, no one knows who tf they are actually playing with/against. Some people are also just playing in 5-stacks in order to have these high ranks. Tldr, no one knows wtf they are doing in ranked right now.

i found a rule for myself when playing a ranked game. when i stop being happy when i win i quit. I suffered through 3k+ hours on rocket league, and the last 1k or so I was expecting a win and pissed when i didn't. Same with siege. I think there needs to be a point where we just let the game go

I went from being mg1 before the last rank update down to silver 3, after like 5 years I made my way back to gold nova 2, the years of progress lead to that. Then after this update and winning 1 game, they gave me LEM and I’m way far from the global skill level. I still don’t get it.

Jericho, its all about round wins, not match wins. If you loose a match, you can still rank up, if you won enough rounds.

@@cwill2127 not really tho, officially there is no info available on this topic, but with many tests done by some people the Elo system used is round based and not match or personal performance based. So this means you can rank up on a loss or can rank up in bad performance. This is also why it happens often that you rank up or down on a tie. If it would consider the match as well, tie matches wouldn‘t let to Elo changes that often. So in regards to many tests done by community members, match wins or losses are not taken into account. But obviously, if you win a match, you must have won more rounds, which in terms makes it more likely that you rank up and vice versa.

@@tomili1986 uh no? It can and does still consider the match, just because you can rank up or down on a tie doesn’t mean anything. It’s likely an additional bit, again separate from round wins. It’s why you’ve likely seen someone rank up who’s getting carried even if it’s a close game (they do dogshit, but still rank up even if it’s a close game round wise)
