Yeah, you're right. In a normal case scenario, the ranked distribution should be denser in the mid tiers, and smaller towards the high and low tiers, which was the case in EU, but not in the US

I've been hardstuck between GN2 and MG for literal years. After this rank up it put me at MGE, and have since made it to LEM. And the game feels so much more fun now. Virtually no hackers and more balanced games in my experience.

Could never break out of silver due to rank decay and for a time, low trust factor for no reason until that got reset. After this update, first game back place gn1 and first time with the ability to do overwatch cases. I think I might get back into CS:GO now lol

I think a lot of it has to be based on previous ranks maybe? I say that because maybe a year ago I was MG1, and recently got back in and got thrown into S4/SE, after the 1 recent placement game I got put back into MG1, not sure if that’s just a coincidence or not.

I feel like the game on your end has really bad hit detection and faulty lag compensation. I notice this in my games too. I shoot 5 bullets into a guy, only one of them registers and when I watch the demo I only shoot one bullet and die. 1v1s feel impossible to win when it happens. No packet loss or unstable ping either. Hopefully, Source 2 improves the netcode.

I was mg1 before the reset and I literally placed global after dropping 30 on “lem players” in my placement. The LEMs played like low golds and I am nowhere near the skill level of a global. Ranks are completely fucked

Every overwatch I do is just spin bot. I can count on one hand (using 3 fingers to be exact) the number of non spinning cases I’ve had in the past month. Luckily I’ve only encountered a single game where there were spin botters in 1.5k hours since 2015

Ay I mean I used to be MGE a couple years ago, and then I dropped to gn4 cause I solo q, and then my “Smurf” is SEM, and after the rank reset, my main is LEM and I can easily hold it there, and my “Smurf” is DMG which is also pretty easy to keep

After playing Valorant and with this rank reset I wanted to return to CS:GO for a change of scenery. I have been comfortably LEM+ since around 2017, stopped playing consistently around 2019 but still managed to maintain around LE/LEM for the last 4 years. Long story short, I am being humbled by MG2s and when I finally won a game got placed Gold Nova 3. That's lower than my first rank in 2015. I think I'll go back to Valorant
