Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore offers admission to its four-year Bachelor of Science (Research) Programme in 2023. Students who will appear for the 12th standard board examination (or equivalent) in 2023 and those who have passed this examination in 2022 are eligible to apply for admission to this Programme. The BS Programme in Medical Sciences & Engineering is a game-changing interdisciplinary programme that bridges Medicine & Engineering

Having done multiple internships and being the recipient of the DAAD fellowship myself, there are a couple of things I would like to point out. 1. Doing a paid internship outside is not as big of a deal that people make it to be. I know people who have received PhD offers from Top 50 Universities but had never left the country. And it is quite futile to mail any professors outside India before you have selected your major. 2. It is highly unlikely that a fresher will be able to understand the research articles of the professor who they are trying to target for the internship, and sometimes professors do take offense with this behavior of students : asking for internships only for the sake of building CV. My best advice would be to start small, ask professors at your institute that if they would allow you to visit and work in their labs. Remember - Networking is the most powerful tool in academia, and most of the times it would be these professors who would recommend you to their colleagues in other institutes.

uhmm thanks for this extra info but can u tell me like why the people who got foreign phd offers but didn't left the country? was it due to fact that they didn't got fully funded phd or was there a another reason?? can u elaborate this point? and btw what r u currently doing now ? and please share some of ur handle like maybe reddit or linked in for asking doubts?

@@alexandher-sn3qf I think you slightly misinterpreted my point. What I wanted to say is : I know a lot of people who never went for any internships outside India during their BSMS but still got accepted into PhD programs in top universities (fully funded yes). And as of now all of them are pursuing their PhDs. I am currently a student at IISER-TVM, about to start my 5th year in August.
