​@shaurya singh In india, as a professor you may earn from 10lakhs to 20 lakhs per annum depending on which institute, IITs/IISc/IISERs pay their profs well. You can also work as a scientist in private sectors and earn some good bucks. In US, average salay of Proffessors range from 70k to 150k USD. Obviously you can live a very comfortable upper middle class life with this much money. Also being a scientist has a very high prestige and recognition in society, if you care about such things. You can also become a teacher in coaching classes where you could potentially earn some lots of money, many teachers in Kota are even paid upto 50 lakhs per annum which is crazy in India.

@@shriya9659 Study in a Systematic manner that is enough . If you are a PCM student then focus on some selected chapters in Bio like Genetics and easy chapters like Ecosystem Photosynthesis in higher plants and if you are a PCB student then do some Basics Calculus like didifferential equations Integration and also AP GP Hp and PNC.. You will get a Q from Integration that's for sure. In Physics and Chemistry just study for Mains Or Bitsat that will be enough.

You must have decided but in case you haven't and you have time *or* someone is reading this Regular JEE Adv books suffice. KVPY is *harder* than JEE Mains but *easier* than JEE Advanced. Moreover, they also admit via JEE channel. So JEE Advanced books recommend.

If you're interested then it won't be.. But hands down only subject hard is physics unless you're completely master in physics you don't have any say there. Others subjects are nice, develop a interest, don't go for easy sciences there's no such thing.

You looking for PhD adnmission? Then I guess you'll get suggested by your academic guide what to do next! You might opt for a lab postdoc or join some industry or R&D, mind it getting a nice job after PhD isn't much of a tough find.

No need extra preparation.... For chy, Math and physic whatever you studied during The IIT JEE Preparation it's more than enough... If you get some time just go through important topic in biology from the ncrt... If you have no bio background...

But being a Bengali...I preferred iiserk...and now I am a 2nd yr student of iiserk

It is indeed pretty tough to get admission through KVPY but its much easier to get into an IISER through IISER Aptitude Test. Make sure you give it and fulfill its requitements.

Both are really really easy, you just need to be good in concepts and can solve questions which are very basic yet tricky. The interview is also very similar, fundamental concepts thats it. Go for it, stay curious and keep working. Good luck!
