Surprised to learn that even the simplest possible assumption about the potential as a square box potential still requires numerical methods to find that single missing parameter V_o = 36 MeV . Cool nevertheless!

9:21 as sir said that three different quarks total is zero but in case of proton also here I have different quarks but total not equal to zero
@VaibhavSingh-dq9kr3 жыл бұрын
Are you asking about charge? Up quark has 2/3e charge and a down quark has -1/3e charge. And proton is made up of two up and one down quark. So if you add up the charges you get +1 on proton and 0 charge on neutron as it's made up of two down and one up quark.

The color charge is zero not the electric charge two are different

Sir, kindly check! I think wave function will have both sine and cosine solution in the well region
@atulsingh16849 жыл бұрын
Sir, the explanation which you gave for only sine solution is debatable. Cosine term will be zero by the logic you made one of the exponential terms zero (finiteness of wave function), this is what I have read
@physicsdemonstrations24264 жыл бұрын
In the 4 years if u have figured out that there's no significant difference between sine and cosine terms except phase shift, then good for u.

Sir what is the role of binding energy for deuteron in the excited state?
@dedukahopkinsinstitute80635 жыл бұрын
DEUTRON has no exited state, it is single bound state.. So, When there is no exited state, so role played by BE has no meaning..

How it is a central potential. By definition it depends on distance from center and acts towards or away from the center or origin of force. Then here potential energy is through out constant in well , then there is no gradient of potential energy and force has to be zero. Please correct me where I am wrong
@amshudharasbhat8833 жыл бұрын
i think they are considering the potential(supposedly nuclear) that one nucleus experiences from the other. not necessarily the potential from the centre and nucleons are assumed to be uniformly distrubuted. also, they assume that it is central. i could be wrong too, thank you.

Those terms arises because of separation of angular Wave function from radial one. They are effectively works similar to centrifugal potential.
