This term is come from experimental results..this has no theoretical background... that's why the formula is known as semi empirical mass formula

No, because distance between two protons are different for each pair of protons. Here the radius of nucleus is used as the distance between two protons, which is clearly an approximation. If you want to calculate it then you have to consider each pair of protons separately and calculate the energy of the system keeping in view that they are not in isolation. So other changes will also affect the calculations. It's almost impossible to calculate all these things even for one nucleus, once you do that then you will have to check whether it's applicable on the other nuclei or not because distribution of nucleons is not same for all the nuclei, even the number of protons gets changed.🙂

how to solve the question: Let Es denote the contribution of the surface energy per nucleon in the liquid drop model.The ratio Es(Al(z=13,A=27)):Es(Zn(z=30,A=64)) is:
@divyanshshrimali26515 жыл бұрын
Udai Kumar Es is proportional to A^2/3 so for pernucleon case it will be A^1/3, so the ratio will be (27/64)^1/3 = 3/4

Surface energy per nucleon is proportional to A^-1/3 not A^1/3
