Absolutely I have the same confusion because.. exp(-1/T) is nearly equal to (1-1/T) at high temperature 🤒🤒

Sir in the absence of magnetic field if we consider the energy of the system do they have different energy values since each atom have different energy states and how they account for the splitting after applying b field?

@@amrahnichu9532 in magentic feild, for one electron system, the system splits to gives 2 states, parallel and antiparallel spin. For the atomic system, there are 2j+1 states from spin orbit couplings. in an experiment we can only measure the change in energies and not absolute energies.
