If you are not getting Top 5 IITs or IIT Guwahati then undoubtedly you should go for NIT Trichy because it has the same type of environment like these and better environment than all new IITs and all NITs because both NIRF and NIT Trichy JEE Main based cut off for various branches speaks the same. And I am from Assam and from here Assam Engineering College, a state college three people are working in Microsoft, researchers in ETH Zurich, many are working in German companies and cutting edge startups not just startups in CSE and communication are started by the alumni here. So college is just and a mere playground as sir says it never ever matters in front of your JUNOON and SKILLS. Moreover culture, branch, environment and level of not only the students but even your batchmates do not matter if you DESERVE and are involved with the top online work groups and skill trainers👍

Pressure of grades doesn't give me enough time to pursue my hobbies, I lost interest in the subjects I used to love. So be ready if your result you get after getting into an IIT don't match your expectations at all. You'll have to learn to deal with it in 4 years. And as sir is talking about the peer group i don't know whether you know about this fact or not but IIT's have surpassed many institutions in producing alcoholics, chain smokers, drug addicts. Nashediyon ki bhi kami ni hai the fact is every college has motivated and hardworking ones and the ones who enjoy only. Why many IITians prepare for CAT or UPSC or become teachers in coaching industry why don't they get into there core profile work or do coding because the fact is mainly Cs, ECE, Mathematics and computing, electrical students get placed in tech giants as the ratio of students from other branches getting placed in tech giants are quite low and if you don't believe me go check stats of placement or any iitian belonging to any core branch you will get know many things dude. Apna major karte hue woh bhi non cs ya non ece ya non mathematics and computing mein coding karna itna asaan ni hota bhai college life ki reality poocho students se college ke.

He said choose the Top 5-7 IITs ONLY if you're one of the students who is unsure of what to do and as he said, don't have the "जुनून" right now (which is the majority of the students). If you already have the "जुनून" like you say you do then go ahead take CS wherever you can. One would get a lot more time to develop coding skills in CSE/IT/Mnc branch.

Interest is paramount bro, whatever he said is under the conditions that there is no specific branch of interest.

Hello Ashish Sir, Greetings of the day, I scored a rank of 2896 in JEE Advanced and a rank of 9600 in JEE Mains. I watched your video for Selection of Branches and IITs. I live in Mumbai. I have interest in Data Science and have decided to pursue my career in Data Science. I am not getting Computer Science in old IITs, and after researching about other branches, but I am getting Computer Science in BITS Pilani. My aim is not for placements. I want to do MS/PhD in these subjects. I have narrowed down to 2 options 1. Take admission in BITS Pilani in CS. OR 2. Take admission in Civil Engineering in IIT Bombay/ Computational Mechanics at IIT Delhi and work hard for Minors in CS. and work on my skills through online courses. I understand that even though not being from a CS background, we can improve our skills, but if I have opportunity of getting CS at BITS Pilani, should i go for non-CS branch at IIT Bombay, for the "IIT" tag and environment. I want your opinion on this matter. Thanks and Regards Neel Dedhia

You should take CS if you're really interested in it because then studying won't feel like studying

Sir, one of my friend suggested me your channel. And after checking out the playlist of some chapters I came to the conclusion that your lectures so small as compared to the other youtubers. Are they enough for the theory and concepts of any chapter up to advance level(considering advance illustrations also). Are they enough for theory and concepts up to advance level. Plzzzz sir reply, I am in a dilemma
