People fail to realize that Hal is very good at adapting and he doesn’t mind not being igl, I actually think he prefers not having that stress. So if all he has to do is frag out and just kind of give some insight from time to time, they’ll do just fine. Gen plays very much like ev and zero is a much better version of reps and zero igls. I don’t know how people think it’s not going to work out lol

Hal and Zero are actually pretty similar. It could work and it would be insane. The problem that i see is resources and player priority. Reps and Sikzz are both low resource players who are supposed to do a lot with very little and support players like Verherst/Genburten to carry. Meaning Hal will likely be playing the support side of fragging or pushing Gen into it.

@@reubenmcmurray4377 gen is an anchor and ev was also an anchor, imo gen is a better player. Hal will do just fine being a fragger as he was always top of the kill board and always had more kills on his team anyways. Now all he has to do is kill, doesn’t have to worry about rotations.

3:21 I understand the terms of Hal being in a fragger role for DarkZero, and having Gen as the Controlling/Anchor because having Gen in that roll means your versatility as a team is broad. If Hal is Controlling/Support/Anchor (which he could) I don’t believe it would work because of Hal’s nature it’s like asking your Defender to be an attacker and visa versa. You run a huge risk because because it’s not in their nature to do so.

I think they do have the separation, Zero is arguably the bets IGL. Gens best characters are Caustic and Cat. And Hal frags harder than 95% of pros whilst IGLing.

I mean that TSM squad basically shaped pro apex to what it is today. It wasn't meant to last forever, but honestly I didn't think it'd end this soon. The lackluster performance in playoffs really was just the nail in the coffin, even though they realistically didn't play that bad, other teams just played unreal. I'm very excited to see how powerful DZ is with Hal being able to focus more on fragging or anchoring rather than micro managing & IGLing. It's an amazing change for his career, but an unfortunate end to the best legacy in apex.

IN 2000 The Lakers added Carl Malone and Gary Payton to their roster and it did not work. They lostin the finals to the Pistons which had no superstar but had all the heart and chemistry. That was the end of one of the greatest duos of all time, Kobe and Shaq. I was a big time Shaq fan back then, but now I see how much of a competitor Kobe was. Hal leaving TSM feels like Lebron joining Wade and Bosh in Miami. Those chips are not as respected as the one that Dirk Nowitzki won because he won it with his OG team. This really feels like a soft move in my opinion and by him telling the team this before the tourny just ruined the whole team vibe. I am a ride or die kind of person and I would have liked to see him stay with Jordan and Evan.

Hal has said in the past that he doesn't even like IGLing, he said just doesn't trust anyone to do it better than him, with the exception of (at the time) Sweet. I would imagine at this point, with how good Zer0 is, he has shown Hal enough for him to be comfortable trusting him to take over. Also with how good Hal is as a fragger, if they are winning, I doubt Hal will ever care about who is IGLing.

Not "competition" Just to qualify you need to buy the most expensive pc money can buy.
