That is the first thing I thought I recognized is how much the tone is just more crisp or bright. I always thought Dakyung had a lot of skills, but it seems her ability is maturing wonderfully.

I like how her mentors are letting her take the lead. She's progressing quite nicely. She's not a Miles Davis but who is? If you listen to his rendition of autumn leaves. He will punctuate by stopping on a note. And then he will allow the other musicians to play. At other times during the song he will build and then hold a note just long enough before it becomes annoying. Developing that technique takes years of practice. She's not there yet, but I hear the progression in her music. If she continues to develop and does not lose her enthusiasm to play. By the time she's 30 she will develop her own style and be virtually untouchable.

다경이 음악 자동재생하면서 듣고 있습니다. 기분이 자연스럽게 상승하고 좋아지고 있습니다. ㅎㅎ 제가 한국에 있는 조카랑 동요를 만들기 도전하고 있습니다. 저는 가사를 쓰고 조카는 GarageBand로 하고 있어요. 아이들이 다컷기 때문에 추억을 쌓고자 하고 있습니다. 제목은 '꼬꼬마 선인장'입니다. 조카들이 이렇게 답장이 왔습니다 "중독성 쩔어욬ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ" 요즘 MZ 세대들에게 기성세대가 함께 웃고 즐길 수 있는 문화가 절실한 시기 같습니다. 역시 재즈는 너무나 훌륭히 세대를 뛰어넘는 감동이 있음을 다경이와 이정식 선생님 연주를 보면서 다시 느끼게 되네요 감사합니다. !!~

She improves so much so fast, and plays so many genres, that it is like I am hearing a different person playing each time. As inspiring as it is to hear this young person play as well as she does, she is reaching the point at which this old guy is tempted to hang it up for good. That's the same feeling that I sometimes get when I hear recordings of Doc Severinsen, Maynard Ferguson, Wynton Marsalis and Maurice Andre doing what they do best. Oh...my...God.
