@@king...675the live photo ensures the photo is not blurry because your hands are not perfectly still when taking a photo. So actually it makes sense to use live photo on anything. Try taking a photo of a still object with or without live photo and you will definitely have a blurrier photo without it.

Just got the white 16 pro max. I love the screen size and brightness, but the Camera Control button is terrible… Such a disappointment and ended up just using the screen to take pictures. The button is hard to take pictures, you can’t take pics with the soft press, so every time I take a photo, the phone shakes, and therefore, the picture is all shaky and not clear. Such a let down and the biggest gimmick Apple ever created. (Also using the button in horizontal is just terrible cause to reach the button you end up blocking the mic, and if you do it from the front, you block the screen. The camera button is just a really bad addition. Would have preferred a 48mp telephoto which is very lackluster too smh)

I agree 100% with your observation. My experience was exactly the same, you have to press wauuuy too hard and the phone moves too much as a result. Sending mine back for sure. Will upgrade next year when they might have actually made some meaningful difference to the lenses.

Someone on Reddit suggested flipping the phone over and using your left thumb to control - it’s much better that way. Agree though, in its current state it’s a UX disaster.

Totally agree with you, it feels like a gimmick and I found it hard to operate and much easier just touching the screen. I ended up turning the button off complelety in settings. Hopefully they will realize that and not have this button on the iphone 17.

I have 1 TB on my iPhone 14 Pro Max, and I’ve only used like a small fraction of that. I have games, a lot of apps, Streaming Services, a good amount of pictures, and almost 10,000 songs downloaded on it. Still have a little over 800 GB of unused storage. What do you even do with your phone that you need a whole TB? xD

When I moved from the 13 pro to 15 pro I found the selfie quality to be much worse. It makes my skin dull and grainy. It will look good when taking the photo, but then it transforms into something worse. Is this fixed in the 16 pro?

Justine never mentioned this about Camera Control. But it is possible to adjust the pressure required to perform an action/adjustment. Also it's possible to adjust the Double Light Press speed. These are in Settings/Accessibility/Physical And Motor/Camera Control. I would have thought Justine would have mentioned about this.

I’m so glad someone has finally mentioned panoramas on Vision Pro. I’ve always wondered why I bothered taking them when they look like garbage on phone screens but after getting the Vision Pro, I get it now. It’s like panos were meant for AR/VR headsets all along. I have panoramas going back to 2013, it’s a trip looking back at those.

I keep live photo on. With my iPhone 14 Pro I just don't shoot that much video. But often enough I'll want to put pics into a video clip, so live photo helps greatly with that.

OMG I can also pause now on my 12 mini! The only bad thing is that the app doesn't keep the video paused when you close the camera app... and btw: I can also shoot spatial video on the 12 mini using a special app. Very sad Apple doesn't allow this by default....

you forgot the microphone quality on the 16 pro how did that compare to the 15 pro and also to a dedicated dslr camera? was the "in-frame" sound any good? vs the standard. i can imagine that feature combined with the better studio microphones it can replace the external mics people use when they record iphone 16 pro videos

As a photographer, I never gonna use that photo slider buttons. It takes to much time to tweak around, I never gonna use zoom because you lose alot of image quality, so walk closer to your subject than zoom.But overall! The camera looks amazing. The only thing I use the zoom for is for SnapChat and when I want to check a poster that is far away and I dont want to cross the street to be able to read it😂

I turned off the new camera button, dont find any need for it and find it's easier to just touch the screen. Plus the button is mostly good when shooting in landscape mode, when you shoot in vertical orientation the button is hard to operate, at least for me. But might be easier without a cover on like you didnt have when you tested.
