Absolutely LOVE mine. Stunned by the sound and low-end on these little monsters! Got mine at Sweetwater as well, of course. HIGHLY recommended! A+

Abe Romano near field monitors should play loud without distorting. Good to hear that they don’t though!

Questions: A) when will IK learn and lower the MTM price and sell the mic/software separately (or better yet, at a discount if you register your monitors) B) when will MTM ship with ARC 3? (If not already) Love ya Mitch!! Y’all rock!!!

Hi there! Does the IK Multimedia iLoud Micro Monitor have similar capabilites?
@sweetwater2 жыл бұрын
Hey, John. No, they don’t have too many similar capabilities. The MTM series is going to give you built-in room correction capability with the microphone and microphone input on the monitor. This way, your speaker will be able to tune the room without using any type of correction software. The Micro series is going to be much more like a standard monitor. You can always use correction software on your computer, but it wouldn’t be anything specific for the Micro series. I hope this helps! I am very interested in these monitors especially for room correction, my doubt is if after doing the calibration of the monitors the calibration is set in the monitors as in genelec for example, or if it has to be used as a plugin (latencia) as sonaworks for example..

Is the -11db function usable ? I am planning on getting the iloud mtm but at night i was thinking of utilizing the -11db function not to bother my neighbors. I generally looking for an active speaker that basically muting bass option which this is closest thing to that ive seen so far . If it is usable how bad or good are they while in that mode ?

Hello, Rahul! Would depend on the type of work you're doing, but might not recommend for this application. Give us a call to talk in more detail. Thanks for the interest! Jorge Padilla, Sweetwater Sales Engineer, (800) 222-4700 ext. 1731, Jorge_Padila@sweetwater.com

Hi Govinda Thapa. The MTM does not have Bluetooth. If that's important, the iLoud Micro Monitors and iLoud Portable Personal Speaker both have Bluetooth. I'm in a big untreated basement. Will these work better than Kali's?
@AnAmericanGuitarist4 жыл бұрын
With hard walls like that I have had good experience hanging quilted furniture moving blankets along the walls ... maybe an inch or two away from the wall. They're pretty inexpensive on ebay. I once met up with some other musicians in a drummers basement where the old style extra thick moving blankets were hung around the basement jam area on clothesline like ropes. I had the amp pretty loud for a basement without ear fatigue and even the cymbals quieted down quickly. It's not a pro solution, but it definitely helps.

I think are very expensive considering are plastic ......$400-450 a pair would be more reasonable.....and yes the speaker manufacturer abuse and sell their products for HUGE profits... highed drivers of a 400-600 speakers cost $60-80 bucks...so make your numbers

$400 a pair and we're talking.
@stevemoss69265 жыл бұрын
So what are you basing that amount on? How are these, specifically, not worth the asking price? I'm planning to purchase these soon, but any insight you can offer is appreciated.
@busywl695 жыл бұрын
@@stevemoss6926 for that money there are better solutions that will offer you more. Do not take ANYONEs advice on what to blindly buy without actually hearing it first. Well unless you live on that castaway island. Try to find a shop that has monitors setup to listen too. I know they are rare today but its worth the drive.
@stevemoss69265 жыл бұрын
I'm assuming you've used the MTM based on your response. That's great, because many times people just offer opinions without any real world experience. Can you suggest something that you have compared to these at the same price which offers more and in what ways more is offered? Been hearing lots of praise for these from fairly trustworthy sources. These seem to offer quite a bit for the money actually.
@busywl695 жыл бұрын
@@stevemoss6926 YOur room, audio nuetrality, desk size and low-end needs are what's going to come into play. I just heard them a month ago, I was in Sweetwater scoping some HD650 headphones. They have a good sound, but its the kind of sound and form factor I would use for my gaming setup. Not my recording studio. Unless I had a small space. Here is a nice look at what's available for the same money. I prefer the Yamahas at this price point just because they are about as neutral as you can get (don't have to monitor loud either), while having a decent amount of low end to do complete mixes that translate well in the real world of ear buds and bluetooth wonders. I found the other brands to have color I didn't like, especially on the highs. I want to know if my upper end it too hot or if my mids and lows are sitting behind the drums or in front of them. Preferably without a sub . But ask 15 artist/producers how they work or prefer things and you'll get 15 different answers. BUT......again you have to go into a shop with source material you know and trust and hear these different brands LIVE to see which fit your needs. Adams, Focals, Presonus, ect. Genelecs are of course wonderful but you would need a sub to check your low end, unless you have headphones that give you realistic low end response. tinyurl.com/y33ct2c8

@@busywl69 Thanks man. I've been recording and mixing music for about 20 years. Not bragging, just offering some perspective. I appreciate your sincere reply. What I was looking for really was more specifics about how the MTM isn't worth their asking price and specifically what makes them inferior to other monitors in the same price range. Are you referring to NS-10's or the HS series? Never been much of a fan of HS's and I've spent lots of time with them. Your findings are different than many others I've discussed these with, so that's why I was curious. Thanks again.
