I have used T-Racks Suite for about five/six years and getting it back then was a giant step in my mastering abilities. The only reason I got the new T-Racks Suite was because my old version was 32 bit and would not upload to my newer 64 bit computer. I'm so glad I got this new version just because of the "One" software. This is exactly what it says it is. It's one big step to quick and great mastering. Thanks for the demo. You are right about the "Wide" feature. It's incredible.

Great review! The bass tone is killer on that track! Even before the plugin. Great mix overall, but that bass is just delicious.

Nice video, Thanks. Just for Info, ABCD at top right are save buttons... you can easily store and compare various settings. this will avoid you trying to memorise all the buttons at any given moment. once you're ready with a set ,... just press save logo and any A,B,C,D button.. job done ;) In fact its a great and invaluable addition to all Plug ins in T-Racks. Just saying ... Hope it helps

Strange that you talked about the magic being in the two big knobs and then never touched them when you played the track. But the plugin sounds fine.

Paul Whiting they add quite a bit of volume and I had to avoid them to maintain audio fidelity in the tutorial as I had already added quite a bit of volume. Hope this makes sense.

I picked up THE ONE recently! Nice tutorial, Thanks! Question though: Is the VU meter in the middle source input, or output of the plugin?

Input

It's the only plugin I ever put on my Master Buss. I don't even tweak the knobs that much. Just On is enough. Of course you could spend years and zillions learning to master and buying 20 other plugins if you want. Or you could just put this ON.

Hey Robert, thanks for making this video. I just bought T-Racks 5 yesterday, and was playing with this (and Master Match) last night. I've never 'mastered' before, and have a question related to that but also specific to this plugin: How do you know when you're done? Use your ears and set all the settings to where you like how the song sounds, sure. But ideally, you liked the way the mix sounded too. How would I know my settings -- not so much the eq settings as the ones related to compression and limiting -- were 'right'? Obviously I can tell when I've gone WAY too far with one or both of them, but how do I know the difference between a little too far, just right, and not quite enough?

boyreporter great question! One thing I always do is keep a notepad handy. I use “passes” where I listen all the way through and make notes on the first pass. At the end I go and correct everything on that list and do a second pass just the same, rinse-wash-repeat- until nothing is left to change. Also, reference tracks are very helpful!

A-B with a professional reference track that you consider to be similar to the sound you are shooting for. Then when make a few changes go back and forth with your reference a few times and if it sounds fine move on. If it doesn't go back and make suitable adjustments. When you get to the point where the songs sit well together as if they've come off the same album you're basically done. 😎

Great video! I'm completely new to mastering, and I was just wondering - how do you know what volume you should put your track at? Thank you :)

Depends on what sound you're going for. I like to use reference tracks to get my ideal levels.

My friend i bought. T- Rack 5, but i don't seem to be able to pull up the metring sections or the Chris Lorge Algee stuff.All i can do is use it like a single plugin only!I am new to the "ONE", CAN YOU EXPLAIN IT TO ME?
@Homestudiosimplifed4 жыл бұрын
Michael Nash there are more features available under the T-Racks “rack space”. It should’ve been installed on you computer when you installed the one.
