Every project is different. Typically, the Limiter is the last thing in the chain though.

If you are looking for a hard clipper, then one of the most cleanest would be TDR Limiter6 GE (clipper section).The clipper section alone would take double less CPU that this one and has linked controls.

It doesn't make sense to demo bass with t racks with drums and guitars playing all I'm noticing is volume increas in bass . You call it width which can be done with stereo delay and harmonics can be done with distortion or chorus effects .
