Agreed. Rtt's are great, shouldn't be this expensive imo. I bought a Thule Tepui rtt used for 700 and does the job fine. $3K+ camping in cold, windy, hot, you mine as well just book a nice room/hotel. And probably won't be used but more than 2-3 times a month. Price is not justified. You can use that extra cash to buy sleeping bag, fridge, power station, etc.

I SO wanted this for my Suburu outback but it's probably just a bit too long... hangs over about 1 foot from the front over the window. Meanwhile I was going to buy the flag ship DLX tent for 2 but that was 1" too tall for my garage! I can't win... I really want an iKamper but I can't get it to work for my situation.

I don't get why nobody seems to make this type of folding RTT with enough room to store all your bedding up there. I would think most people would prefer that to "thinness" another 3 inches of aluminum on the shell would make a world of difference with no increase in weight. maybe the Roofnest Falcon pro can, some say yes, some no. anybody have any info to add?

Run an inflatable mattress. I know it sounds like a pain, but an exped megamat style is way more comfy than the stock mattress and once deflated will hold a down comforter no problem.

I liked the world map interior.... I'm guessing they don't have it in this model because you didn't mention it. You didn't really mention a whole lot about the inside. I'm also guessing it doesn't have an LED interior light either.....at this price point it absolutely should.
