Why are you fixated on linkable Combat remotes? I’ve seen that in a number of your videos. They don’t do more damage, they just May give you an additional hit. Solo fast moving attack pieces are great. The Lu Duan is really good with the Emitter and the Ru Shi is a tough choice for loadout. In addition, you have 2 very good AD troops and can protect against other AD.

With the linked missile bots the extra die is mathematically very valuable in making that missile land, equating to a 20% increase in likelihood to win the FTF. Considering that the cost of your opponent winning that FTF against a missile is now much higher now that they will need to be re-spotlit, I think it’s very valuable to note and something unique to the factions who can link one. With more general remotes, being able to give them marksmanship makes them have some of the higher potential in a game where the general BS skill has been lowered due to link team changes meaning that a supported remote is potentially one of your better options. Always better to be pulling around a specialist as well regarding linking!

The Brawler sixth sense is great. Brawler MSV sniper in a Keisotsu team was a staple of mine before and looks like it will still be good. And/or the Tanko ML. Though it will suck after the first kill it will no longer get cover.

Unfortunately with the way the Limited Cover rule works on the Tanko he isn’t imposing the negative mods from being in cover to your opponent from the jump making him unusable as an ARO piece in my opinion. I am a HUGE fan of the brawler MSV2 sniper but tend to reserve him for active smoke shooting. Can definitely hop on the end of a keisotsu link tho!

@InfinityDante sadly Tanko ML is not what it once was. I probably won't take it anymore. When I make a Keisotsu team, it usually ends up being 2 hackers, 2 Thunderbolt and some odd guy. Or just a haris. They can only do haris or core in Oban as well 😟.

I was quick to dismiss Ikari because I am not happy to have lost Scarface's pilot profile. But reconsidering Krakot and Druze because of the new Duo bonus makes me want to play my beloved underdog faction all over again!

I agree it was a bit sad to lose Scarface’s profile but there is so much to look forward to on the new Ikari! Druze duos are looking INSANE

Yeah I’d say I end up taking units like Scarface and was quite high on him in the video as he can genuinely be one of the new ways to fill a lists points depending on how you build your list! It’s a very unique list building experience where your slots are your most valuable resource, not points or SWC!

Australian meta is too small to be a decent representation for global infinity. The States had not relied on it for the entire edition, whether through good defense or an active decision among our significant community that it was a less fun interaction. I think it’s easy for Aussie podcasters to claim some advanced knowledge but the size of the American meta and European dwarfs it and while the Aussie experience may provide anecdotal information, it’s just only a data point globally.

I love how you didn't even play half the roster before, or after... so you guys are theorycrafting for a faction you guys started the video about how this faction is hard to figure out just listbuilding and everything needs to be seen in action... and those takes proves it lmao. Still, Ikari content is better than no Ikari content but bruuuuuuuuh.

Hey mate, I played a fair bit of Ikari in N4 but there where a few profiles I didn’t personally play as I felt they were pushed out by other options. Josh was very generous to join me and bring some insight into some of the JSA models as i love having co hosts on. This series is an initial reaction series and not intended as a faction guide and if you have some insight I’d encourage you to share it :)

@ I'm being genuine when I say that any Ikari content is better than no Ikari content. It's a faction starved of feedback and shared techniques so any opinion is valuable. But it's disappointing to mostly only get takes about how troopers work in *other factions* and assuming it translates well into this one. The Druze Guided playstyle by itself doesn't work nearly as well without the hunzakut or peacemaker. If that's your gameplan you're just not playing the right faction for it. If you're absolutely gonna Guided in Ikari you really should consider taking a Karakuri to long distance ARO Forward Observers. Or then ignoring that in N5 Arslan has a BS13 X-Visor Discoballer that lets you drop your disco straight into the enemy DZ with his Lt Order which is extremely good for dudes like Jimbo. I'd also really recommend to take a second look at the Wardriver, now that they have both the hacking device and Zero Pain (which works against all Comm Attacks), or how the Krakot getting a 6-6 super jump and 4" dodge for free in N5 is just glanced over as "still just a worse Daturazi" and forgetting the +1b also affect their heavy pistols, or that their chest mines makes their berzerk on CC29 on top of having the ability to DoubleShot their Shock Templates (so they technically still do have the capacity to enter CC and still do a B2 unopposed attack lol) Anyway. There's a lot of devils in the details with Ikari.
