I have purchased this chair from Ikea. First one squeaked a lot. Asked IKEA to change it under warranty, which they did (thanks IKEA), but the next one is the same. Does your chair squeek? On mine its the mechanism...not sure where or why or how. When It starts to squeak I change the sitting part extension a bit and then it stops for a short while. Yes, i tried teflon spray on parts I could see, does not help in the long run. I have much cheaper IKEA chair that squeaks much much less then this super expensive one. :(

The backrest may wobble and the knob can loosen over time. This might cause the backrest to slip down. But u can add a thin layer of cardboard into the gap to make it more snug. The wheels are not the best feature of the chair. They do not roll smoothly and often warrant replacement. Not recommend for folks above 1.65 m

My backrest is permanently on the lowest setting.. The wheels rolls perfectly at my wooden floor :)

Word of advice. I have this chair. First one came arm adjustment broken. Second time back rest not aligned strait and cosmetic and structural issue. Third time I replaced came with very squeaky base. I gave up and accepted some compensation. Hard to find good quality one with this chair.

@@DanglishReviews agree it’s a really nice chair, very comfortable. Just shame that I can’t seem to get rid of the squeaky noise it makes every time I move. Awful during online meetings. For that reason £279 is very expensive. Compensation as only £30 voucher . Sigh.

@@minmin1101 £30 e-voucher? For a noisy chair. You clearly dealt with a newbie customer service rep. As they should off advised you to contact IKEA on social media to send videos of the noise, then they could offered partial refund for it or an exchange. IKEA is usually very good with that.

I Think that is a preference taste. You can adjust it, and i have it at its lowest

Hi friend, this might be a stupid question but I notice you called it a "low chair". Is that the max height? or can it go higher, as I like to have my arm rests in line with my desk :)

Yea its adjustable like other desk chairs, but many will not go as low as this

Is there a way to clean the wheels though? Like if hair and string etc gets stuck in it you can't take apart the wheels to clean them at all because of the wheel covers.

@@sevans1596 no. I am saying that price show the quality, so if you pay for th cheapest one for 1/10 of the price the quality will be worse than the expensive one. So people buy the cheapest Ikea producs and think everything in Ikea is bad. I do not know how to make it any clear than that. I will buy their new chair, because the seat will be hot on that one for me.

I have this chair and I hate it. Dont buy it if you like lean back. You sit too straight or even too front.
