They must've changed the design. My Alex doesn't use the metal bolts for the bottom but instead the twist-lock types of fasteners.

No dear I have also this model with tight is BC is different model to add desk on top is made for desk top and he has one that isn't for desk top and might be older . I assembly my Alex drawer today and only the last step with drawes and screw's is hard

@@Dertlecup turns out I got the Alex drawers that were made to be for the LAGKAPTEN table top and not the regular Alex drawers🙃 and the “bottom that has the 4 holes” actually goes on top of the Alex drawer so you can bolt the table top on. I just ended up buying the table top and making it a vanity and I like it!

You just use anti slip furniture risers (screw the risers to desk)
