That's awesome! What a great dad...my dad was a mechanic and he thought me how to change the oil check the fluids and change a tire and pretty much how to recognize when certain things weren't working properly like when to change the breaks or when to tell if it's the ignition switch or the alternator that needs changing all those sort of things it was fun and something I'll never forget I might have never had to do any of this work myself but I at least am able to tell what needs to be done...when we were younger my husband would do all this for us...now we take it in to a younger mechanic

Great :) My only question, if you can: what's up with the steel circle at the top of the shade with a bar across it? What's the connection of this to the rest of the shade and kit?
