IKEA EKTORP Sofa Assembly Step by Step

As we are moving into the flat in London, I assembled the #IKEA #EKTORP 3 seat #sofa. EKTORP Sofa Assembly was actually not very difficult if you have viewed this video before you do-it-yourself as I have step-by-step shown how to assemble IKEA EKTORP 3 Seat Sofa here. No hack required.
The chaise of the EKTORP Ikea sofa is actually quite heavy. I was lucky to have a trolley at home to move it to the living room or reception. Since there were no other people to help me to assemble, I had to take it out of the box myself with a bit of difficulty. So unboxing a IKEA EKTORP 3 seater sofa you need some strength!!!
I like the EKTORP 3 seater sofa design as it is simple and minimal, yet it is comfortable. The EKTORP armchair sofa is with firm and sturdy cushions and seats. It was the main reason when I reviewed and chose EKTORP 3 seat sofa. The price is not cheap but you will be lucky when you can get a bargain item of a 3 seater EKTORP.

Thanks for the video. Here in the UK there are other firms that produce a huge number of different covers (I actually bought the sofa because it is not very deep so people with short thighs can sit comfortably - but getting a red cover for it is great).

It took me about 2-3 hours (by myself) as I was filming alongside. I guess it could be done in 2 hours if I had watched an assembly video like this ahead of time!!😅 The base was actually quite heavy for me when I took it out from the cartoon box.

My family of 3 used the sofa for 1.5 years now. The cushions are not as firm but ok.. The fabric is still in good condition. For a beige color, it looks still pretty new to me. It is not as comfortable as if you would like as you can't slide down too much because the depth of the seat is not too long. In all, I still think it was a good choice.

How to clean them ? the fabric can’t be removed and it has water rings on it now …. please suggest

Did you mean underneath the cover? I guess you can try to use stain remover!? If you mean the cover, you should be able to wash separately.

Hi, is this box can be fitted into a car or must I request for a delivery from ikea?

The box is about 180cm in length. It was too heavy for me to carry if I did not have a trolley.

Yes, I think so but the depth is not good enough to allow you to slide down a bit when sitting.

Hmmm, I would not know as we had it for only 6 weeks. My previous one was not from Ikea.

When I enquired to IKEA store reg Life....they replied 50 k/ thousand times..we can use..it means sitting position ..

Your help is OK. But putting on the legs first . . . not a good idea by any means. Legs should be put on at the end of the process. AND . . . get another person to help you flip over the sofa, so you don't put pressure on the plastic legs. Be careful.
