I was so excited about this video, I wrote a quick cheat-sheet: STEPS 
A. RESET BLINDS B. RESET HUB C. RESET REMOTE D. PAIR REMOTE TO HUB E. PAIR BLINDS TO HUB & REMOTE F. SET BLINDS BOTTOM LIMIT G. REJOICE A. RESET BLINDS 1. Press both silver buttons on BLINDS for 5 seconds to factory reset. 2. White light will flash and BLINDS will roll all the way up. Blinds are factory reset. 3. Remote will not yet move blinds, pairing will not yet work. -- B. RESET HUB 1. Power cycle the HUBs by removing from electrical outlet, and plugging back in to wall. 2. Takes 2 minutes to boot up. -- C. RESET REMOTE 1. Replace CR 2032 batteries in remotes. 2. Press button inside remote 4 times. 3. Should see 2 red lights flashing rapidly. 4. REMOTE is in pairing mode. -- D. PAIR REMOTE TO HUB 1. Hold remote close to HUB, hold button for 10 seconds. 2. Remote RED lights and HUB WHITE lights will flash. 3. Let go of remote button. 4. Remote is now paired to HUB -- E. PAIR BLINDS TO HUB & REMOTE 1. Single tap both silver buttons on BLINDS quickly (do not hold). 2. White light will light steady white. 3. Hold REMOTE close to BLINDS, and hold the REMOTE button down 5-10 secs. 4. BLINDS will ‘jog’ up & down once - BLINDS are now paired! F. SET BLINDS BOTTOM LIMIT 1. Double tap BLINDS lower button. 2. Blinds will ‘jog’ up and down - limit is set! -- G. REJOICE!! --

Having gone through all of the instructions on the IKEA website to pair and reset, there was no mention of pairing with the other unit. I was convinced the unit was broken, but your video resolved the problem. Why on earth are IKEA incapable of proper documentation and support of their own products. Idiots. Hi Brandon, I am missing the wall adapter (but have the receiver) so assuming wall adapter was just for power, I connected the receiver to a generic adapter bit the problem I am having is that when I press the pairing button it does bot light red. Even though when I reset the control, I am able to see the flashing red light. Any guidance would be really appreciated since apparently the 2 piece (receiver + wall adapter) has been discontinued (as per Ikea personnel). Many thanks innadvance 0:17

(The wall adapter may need to be unplugged/plugged in first (then wait for two minutes for the wall adapter to boot). This step is sometimes not necessary.) 2. Open the back of the remote control with a screwdriver, press the button four times, the red LED should start blinking. 3. Place the remote control near the wall adapter and hold the button for at least 10 seconds, the white LED on the wall adapter will pulse slightly, and the red LED on the remote control will blink quickly a few times, then release the button. Now the remote control is "paired" with the wall adapter. 4. Press both up/down buttons on the roller blind simultaneously, the white LED on the roller blind will start glowing after a few seconds. 5. Place the remote control near the roller blind and hold the button for at least 10 seconds, the roller blind will move down/up a little. Now the remote control is "paired" with the roller blind. SET LIMIT FOR LOWEST HEIGHT 1. Roll down the curtain as much as possible. 2. Roll up the curtain to the lowest height you want for the roller blind, press the "down" button once to stop the roller blind at the position you want to set as the lowest height. 3. Press the "down" button twice, the roller blind will move down/up a little, and the lowest height is set. And in Swedish: RESET IKEA FYRTUR FJÄRRKONTROLL 1. (Väggadaptern kan först behövas pluggas ur/i (vänta sedan i två minuter för boot av väggadapter). Detta steg behövs ibland inte.) 2. Öppna baksidan på fjärrkontrollen med skruvmejsel, tryck knappen fyra gånger, röd LED börjar blinka. 3. Placera fjärrkontrollen nära väggadaptern och håll inne knappen minst 10 sekunder, vit LED på väggadaptern kommer pulsera lite, och röda LED i fjärrkontrollen kommer blinka till snabbt några gånger, då släpper du knappen. I bought four of them, works great but how can I program other remote controls to open up or close those blinds? I tried to pair the other remote controllers to the same wall adapter but ever time I reset new remote the old one gets deactivated… don’t really want to use all four remotes but at least two would be handy, something like a three way switch…

This is great. Saved me from driving to Ikea to return the blind as I just could not get the remote to work. However, it only works with the USB receiver plugged. As soon as I unplug the USB wall receiver, the remote stops working again. Any idea how to fix it? Ikea really should have fixed these bugs between put them on sale.

I have 8 of these blinds, four upper and four lower. My four uppers lose their sync often, which involves bringing in a large tall ladder and moving lots of furniture. Does this have anything to do with the distance to the wall adapter? Any suggestions?

Do you have any idea how to repair the styrbar remote to a tradfrei driver? The pressing of the remote button 4 times was the first reaction I got with the styrbar, this was the first thing on the internet that was actually helpful. But still can’t seem to get things to connect again.
