Spray painting tip: Pro painters avoid drips by smoothly moving the sprayer whenever it's spraying the item; they start spraying before they move over the item, move over it, and stop spraying after they've moved past it. If they need to add spray, they wait until the first has slightly dried for a few moments. Your short bursts made me nervous. Springs are a bit tricky. I'd rig something to stretch them a bit (without permanently deforming them) so that the spray would get all around the springs, rather than just on the outside and possibly painting the coils together. Yep, always use primer. Heat-resistant paint might be a concern, but now most light bulbs don't get too hot. Cheap masks catch the larger spray droplets, but not the fumes. And droplets will stick to anything around, so from a project I did years ago, I have a pair of prescription glasses 🤓 with tiny specks of paint on them. 🤦 This lamp's a great idea. How many primer coats did you have to do? Then how many coats were for copper coat too . I have exact same lapm in blue whish i also baught from ikea .can i paint blue in another colour.?
