IKEA Hack - Kura Bed Converted Into A Fairy Princess Castle, complete with Secret Passage

Pretty much the title. Built a bed for my 4 year old daughter out of 2 Kuras and a bunch of extra parts.

I watched both of the bed construction videos that you made for your kids, and it reminds me of the time I asked my parents for something like this when I was a kid. They didn't do it, and I got too old. But having seen this, I hope to be a good father one day and do something similar like this for my kids.

Glad you liked it! I'm sorry, but I don't have any blueprints. The 3D Sketchup model in the video is all I have for this bed. Otherwise, just designed, measured, and built as I went.

To be honest, neither. But it was more fun. There's a whole genre of hacked Kura beds - it's a challenge to come up with a new approach to modifying one and to think of creative ways to use the spare parts (e.g. bed slats made into the doors).
