You commented that the noise levels of the large space sometimes are a bit much. A sound cloud (board covered with soft sound absorbing fabric like wool or fleece) Essentially you can make these yourself. In fact it would be a good project for the unschool. They need to be positioned in the corner of each room at ceiling height to direct the sound back into the room. Will really help to muffle the noise level. Curtains & pictures will also help. Even a quilt hung over the bannister. It's such a lovely home . I'm really enjoying your channel. X

My heart just melted seeing Andrew place Eve on his shoulders! THEN..Eve tries to cover his ears so he won't be cold. AND THEN Eve just made me lol with her dancing, as Andrew made his clicking sound!!! All I can say is "My cup runneth over" with the love your family is willing to share.

3 minutes into the video, and I just need to tell you Megan, that it really warmed my heart to hear that you keep the Sabbath (Sunday) holy, and refrain from working and shopping. I've never made bread or pastry.... imagine that eh!?.. hahaha.. My mom never did, so I guess it's just not in me.. lol Great RV ideas at Ikea. We are wanting to remove the stock couch from our Motorhome, and replace with a singlebed/couch type of thing. I love the mirror with the attached hooks, so perfect for the RV bathroom. Thanks for sharing.. God Bless. 💟

I love your new RV. We have a 5th wheel and when we get extra, extra guests we XL camping cots from cabelas. We have an island and they fit on the dining side of it and in front of our seating. It allows us to still move around the kitchen. The guys love having their own "bed". They stow away easily, and sleeping bags work great.

Megan, as the mom of 10 who has made a TON of bread over the years, I'll give you one of my best tips. Skip the flour on the countertop and spray with a cooking spray instead. Keeps the bread from getting over dry/heavy, and makes it so much easier to manipulate. Let me know if you give it a try.

I love making bread, I sometimes make one where I need it into a rectangle and put liquidised onion and vegan cheese along one edge and roll it like a Swiss roll and then cut it into slices like a cinnamon roll and bake with tomato on top. It’s nice to add the really watery onion juice when mixing the bread. It tastes amazing and has no cholesterol because there is no animal products 😀

My first thought with that dish draining tray was that it was designed for thin plates like Corelleware. They are super thin and super light! I grew up with Corelleware until I was married and then the dishes we chose for our married living were "normal" weight and I started to hate washing the dishes. It finally dawned on me that they were "too heavy" so I replaced them with my favourite pattern of Corelleware and now I'm a dishwashing fiend again! LOL Heather xo (When I was single, I worked day shift at a coffee shop so my evenings were free. Sometimes, I would take the bus to Ikea just for the field trip and would have their 50 cent hot dogs for dinner! LOL Heather xo

Was just in Ikea the other day.. I bought a 3 drawer unit made of metal that I had to assemble myself... it was like building a puzzle and I enjoyed it quite frankly... although the first metal shelf I bought from Ikea a couple of years ago, well, I had to ask someone to help me with it... I tried to assemble it myself but I somehow made quite an impressive look-a-like of the Leaning tower of Pisa that also twists as it leans... like some sort of art piece actually.... 🤣🤣🤣🤣

The yellow writing desk is perfect in the living room. Does the house have a basement? I don’t remember if it did. When you started to talk about how you made bread I was surprised to discover that you did it the way my Mom did. We were part of a Co-op and Mom and Dad could order things in bulk and either keep all of a specific item or divide it up between members. So they would get huge bags of wheat, and smaller bags of rye and other grains that we would grind into flour with a table top mill. Mom kept starter in one of the ovens that didn’t get used much because she had 2 other wall ovens. She made bread daily and it was amazing. When I was teaching 3rd grade we did a big unit on pioneers and what they face settling in North Carolina and further out West. I brought in the mill and grain and we made flour which we used to make bread. Each student brought in ingredients that we prepared and made into a vegetable beef soup. We churned our own butter and the students got to try the buttermilk left after the butter was removed. Everyone dressed up in “pioneer “ clothing and we conducted a day in the life of a child and going to school. They loved it. As one of the projects they could make a home like those used back then or a covered wagon. There were 4 different options and many times they would do more than one because they really got into it. I brought in my collection of antique items from that time period along with things I created to help them see and understand what it was really like. One of the other interactive days was when we invited people from around the area so that they could share their stories and the things they created and sold through their businesses. We had a blacksmith, a farmers with animals, a teacher who weaves baskets and other decorative items for the home. Another shared how she dyes wool spins it into yarn or thread which she would use to knit or crochet items of clothing and how she could also weave it to make cloth. One gentleman made broomstraw brooms and taught the children how to make a small version of it. There was candle making too. There is a working period farm on highway 52 that is an amazing way for them to learn and understand more about what it was like. We also took them down to Winston Salem where we got to experience Old Salem which is a settlement of members of the Moravian Church. Another place we took them to was a period town that had all of the different businesses in a city or town back then. The owner of the property had purchased the various buildings disassembled them and rebuilt them on her property. It called The Whiperwill Academy located in Lenoir ,NC. My class was the only one to make everything from scratch that we later had for lunch . Learning experiences like that last a life time.

Please be careful ordering from Wayfair. My friend purchased a couch from them which was covered in a chemical which caused her whole family (including a newborn baby) to come out in hives. Wayfair had to send out someone to collect the couch as they couldn't even touch it to ship it back. Please be careful! The particular chemical is banned in Australia and UK but is allowed in the USA (cannot remember the name of it though)
