I just purchase a Micke Desk :-)

Before this video i was watching another assembly video and it made me so confuse that i ran halfway from there thinking of dropping the idea of this desk. Gather courage, then watched yours.... Anddd 🥺🥺 damn!!! You made it look like so sorted and systematic. Man you put so much efforts in this. 🙌 Them screw numbers, highlighted parts of the table, every time adjusting camera angles and without even saying a single word. 😭😭 Thank you!

Finally finished assembling this desk with the help of this video! However, I had 3 pieces of the little wooden sticks left and realised that I had forgotten to put them in cause I was following the video which did not have them. They are added at 7.35 & 8.02. And I can’t rmb where the last piece is missing from. So be careful to check your manual when assembling in case you miss some things.. Just hope the structural integrity of my desk is not compromised, it does feel quite sturdy..

At 1.25 minutes in the video ( up to 2:55 minutes), there is a metal bar to support the base of the wider drawer. This metal bar was missing from my box which I purchased from IKEA in March 2021. Also, i did not see this bar in anothet video on KZbin. It would be sad if IKEA decided to omit that bar, since the drawer could bottom out if something heavy like books are placed in it.

2:22 that’s my problem! There’s no drill hole and I don’t have a drill 😬 Edit: I had a crafting awl and hammered that in a short ways then wiggled it around! It worked! Made just enough of a hole for the screw to catch

Initially I could not slide in the drawers. What worked was by holding the drawer almost vertically down, then pushing inwards as you slowly move the drawer horizontal.

I followed this video and had 3 dowels missing at the end. I can see from your video that at least 2 of them are missing because you also missed them. They are the ones that go on the sides of the cable management shelf. I hate to think why the third one is missing.

The third one is just an extra. But yes this person unfortunately missed two dowels

You should be fine though as there is a sturdy screw in there holding everything in

@@brooke4608 thanks. I actually used a few little angle brackets to stabilize the area - excessive I know and probably not even necessary, but it was very easy to do! It's good to know the last dowel was just a spare.
