How did you finish the space between the edge of the ikea frame and the wall? Based on the shot where you attached the two wardrobes together, there looked to be a gap. Did you just move the trim inwards part the edge of the wall?

Great results! I am planning to do the same free swing your video. Can you please share the link for the motion lights?
How did you check to make sure the studs you removed were not weight bearing before you removed any dry wall ?? PS. I live in Ontario and hope to meet you guys one day ! Love ur channel!

Hi Nav, if you have access to your utility room or have an unfinished basement you will get to know how the joists are running. For us the joists were parallel to the closet so it wasn't a load bearing wall. If your joists are perpendicular to the closet stud then its advisable to get a structural inspection done before you open the walls. We stay in Kitchener, if you happen to be close by, do let us know and we will surely meet.

are the drawers and shelves included when y ou buy the wardrobe?
@take_two_vlogs9 ай бұрын
No. The drawers, closet rails, accessory pull outs and doors needs to be ordered separately. Its all customizable. You can have more shelves and less drawers also.

Great work...by any chance you guys live in Calgary? How do you find whether the joist /beam was load bearing or not?
@take_two_vlogs6 ай бұрын
Thanks, we stay in Kitchener, Ontario. You can go to your furnace room, look up and will get to know which directions your joists are running. Hope that was helpful.

After opening up the wall, our space measured around 85 inch wide by 115 inch high. We installed two 100 cm by 272 cm IKEA PAX frames. The little extra space after fitting in the frames was covered by fillers and trims.

Your duct vent seems to have lot of dust accumulated. Please do a duct cleaning diy.
@take_two_vlogs Жыл бұрын
Thanks for noticing that. Yes it did get dirty while we were opening the wall. As a DIY'er we can only clean the vent covers but not the actual duct, we will be hiring a company for doing that but will surely make a video.
