I can not for the life of me go past step 1 and 1 on the drawers - putting those metal brackets together. I spent 45min on it before I gave up, and I have 8 more to go ... any tip? was it really so easy for you? I've been building (and loving) IKEA furniture since I was little so I'm in shock...

After spending 1h on this drawer driving me nuts: The only way I could me it work was to attach large tapes - because the frist 3 parts of the drawers are so instable that they all fall apart when inserting the bottom. The only way was using tape. Later I would lean one side to the wall when inserting the bottom.
@dominikajolantad2 жыл бұрын
Are you placing the part with the rollers in the right direction? If you flip it so that the "pocket" in the bottom can fit the slided wall of the drawer, it should work.
@moonlightdusksky Жыл бұрын
@@joergm9273 Replying in case anyone reads in the future. The trick with the draws is that the the bottom part of the draw that slides in is ever so slightly longer on one side so you have to make sure you are sliding it in the right way (eg it's slightly rectangle and wider than it is longer) or the clips will never click into place. Someone had marked our ones with a pen to suggest they slide in that way but we only spotted this after spending forvever trying to figure out the first one that wouldn't click in!

This is really helpful, thank you. I haven't seen the plastic drawer front mechanisms before. I'm interested in buying a PLATSA dresser second hand and replacing the drawer fronts. Would it be difficult to remove the plastic piece that attaches it and reuse it?
@PPFlatPack2 ай бұрын
Can replace or change all doors or drawer fronts same as interiors similar to pax system same measurements for old and new frames.

Very well edited sir. It’ll take you longer to film and edit than to build!! I’ve been building this stuff it’s pretty easy, I glue most of my stuff also. I’m just browsing other combinations. All the best 🏴✌🏻

Hi. Thank you for your videos, I love them. I have a queation: do you have an advice how the shelves can be removed again? We would like to change the position of the shelf but it's stuck very strongly to the cubboard/frame. Thank you & best regards!

how did you do?? it seems so easy in 2:35??? i tried it with anything but it wont move / snug. edit: nevermind, I found the way. I use screwdriver and wrap it with cloth or something, and hammer it down to snug that thing.

Same problem, it won't move an inch and the surface of the drawer front is so delicate it started to come of from all the nudging.

Really like the new drawer and shelving system. Super fast!!! Also, it seems that you're doubling up your work by not mounting to the wall before attaching the doors. Did you for the purpose of demonstration/experience with new product? Thanks..
@PPFlatPack4 жыл бұрын
You right parts where is super easy I speed up there is not much to explain. Yes I wanted to do wall fixing at last for demonstration this video was recorded over 2days. Usually I fix frames to the wall first. I liked the new way they did shelves and drawers and frames finally something refreshing after long years of Pax wardrobes.

We need two 80cm frames to fit the space we have so we were looking at Platsa over Pax. However the quality of the drawers seems really low. Cheap runners and no soft close. Interested to know your opinion. I think we're gonna go with Metod and Maximera instead (even if it's for a wardrobe).
@PPFlatPack4 жыл бұрын
You right regarding drawers would be nice if they did soft closing should be the standard in 2020 I guess is the price. Regarding Metod units I like them and if the price is not issue go for it.
@megan_beveridge4 жыл бұрын
@@PPFlatPack thanks for your reply. I think long-term Metod is the better choice. The drawers are really nice and they open all the way.
@Fugitive2924 жыл бұрын
Agree with you. I was ready to order Platsa but decided to visit IKEA and see them myself. Indeed the quality seems low and overall has a more cheaper look. I'll go with PAX I guess.
@ChemicalViruS0044 жыл бұрын
Platsa is like a budget alternative to PAX for the price we can't expect a lot from it. My mom has a pax for years holding on pretty good. I wanted the platsa cuz allows me to make a kind of a bridge in between closets giving me a place where I can put an office table in between them yet allowing me to have some place where I can storage extra stuff above the office table. Unfortunately PAX system doesn't allow such things :/ I think pax is a lot more sturdy and probably will hold longer than platsa
@megan_beveridge4 жыл бұрын
@@ChemicalViruS004 went with Metod in the and very happy. Used some filler pieces and made it all look built in. So far holding up to the use by two small kids (even if they admit they've stood on a drawer 🙄).
