Lol at everyone complaining. This is a mock up, if you and your partner rented a room like this, with not much space to add storage aroubd the house, this is a pretty good solution. Plus, its only to give you ideas, if you'd prefer things differently, just do them differently.

I love the idea of building a bed with kitchen cabinet. I’m looking to renovate my tiny bedroom and hoping to include more storage space beneath my bed and this should work pretty well for me! The only question is how the inner side of the bed was built? I think a single row of kitchen cabinet would not be big enough to accommodate 2 persons on it.
@MayYourGodGoWithYou

Buy lengths of smooth wood about 1'' by 3'' and cut to size of the mattress and lay over the top of the cabinets to support the mattress over the space in the middle (which you can use for items seldom used such as suit cases, out of season clothing etc). There are a number of KZbin videos showing how to make a bed using kitchen cabinets from Ikea, one of many hacks using Ikea items.

We are divided 2 in each cabin, having bunk beds, one desk, tight closet and metal walls (not allowed to destroy them with fixing the new furniture on) super small bathroom. Make a video on how to organize clothes, shoes, uniforms, suitcases, cosmetics and all the other stuff we use and need during six months contract. And please provide us with more magnetic hooks and organizers 😁😁😁

Ok - the kitchen cabinets that were used in this video was: METOD (please correct me if I am wrong) ... did they have to put two cabinets together to make it a double bed? which kitchen cabinet from IKEA's portfolio was used for the other side of the bed that's against the wall? Also, is there a mattress recommendation for this type of a bed? Thanks!

I loved in a bedroom that was the size of a queen size bed and room for a PC tower as an end table but no real foot room. I mounted verticals bars on the wall, hooked some shelves on the bars and put my computer screen, keyboard, and beta fish on it. It was very tight but functional. I’d love to have dresser-like storage under my current bed. That would make it a world of difference. My dresser is in another room of the house right now.

I find a desk more important than the storage area behind the bed. I would put the bed facing the door (a bed with storage underneath but not so high, it looks like an altar), the clothes hanger is well in place and I would put more storage under it, finally a desk for 2 people from the mirror towards the window (unfortunately the heating will cause problems when putting a desk against the wall). Another option is a functional cabin: bed on the upper level and a free space below for a clothes hanger and on the other side a good desk to work or hang out (in my case it wouldn't work because I have a pet and I like it to sleep in my bed)

It will look bad. You are correct. A friend of mine bought a house, gutted it and turned the upstairs into a single bedroom. Probably 12 feet by let's say 25. There is no closet. Almost everything is hung, there is 1 dresser. It's as if you just put a bed in a really large walk in closet. She's about to add even more racks to hang more clothes. It was a really clean, huge space, and now it looks super cluttered and always messy and she loves to be able to see it all. My eyes just bug out when I see it.

Now could we please have a single room which is about 1.5m x 2m in size (mine is actually about this size) as ideas would be great. Currently I store under the bed, on the bottom of the bed (baskets which can easily be removed to change the bedding), on the walls - using strong double sided gel tape and hooks - and I removed the door and replaced it with a curtain rod which holds a curtain for privacy but also all my dresses which need to be hung up. And I have plywood over boxes containing little used items which makes shelving for make=up and accessories etc as well as books, bedside table for water, tablet etc.

The bed storage and movable shelf headboard are absolutely perfect storage ideas! I'll probably also have an actual bedside table setup (on lockable wheels), since reaching behind me or knocking the bedside table drawer could end up being problematic for the glass of water I like to keep near to me during the night.

There are some good ideas here but I think better is possible. If I had this size of room for 2, I would probably opt for bunk beds or a fold-down wall bed. The limitation of not drilling any holes makes things more difficult. If possible, I would at least try to install some upper wall shelves and use the height of the room as much as possible. The cabinets under the bed are nice and putting wheels on things does add alot of versatility, but that cart by the bed looks messy and feels awkwardly shaped. For that location, I would make it shorter (in length) and go taller. Perhaps if it had some cabinet doors on the end, it would give the room a cleaner look. Finally, the shirt racks need some kind of covering. I've seen stand-alone closets at IKEA that are more what I'm thinking. BTW, what are the actual dimensions of this room?

Rewatching now that i am in a bedroom even smaller than this. They should have added doors to all the storage furnitures, then it would look way less cluttered, and the room would feel bigger.

My room is rectangular and barely 8 square meters. I have managed to find space for a single bed, 8 shelves, a dresser, a desk, a laundry hamper a stereo and a flatscreen tv + DVD. I hate the size of my room so much. It always looks messy. But I'd rather have my room than that one, even though mine is smaller.

That unit behind the bed is a mistake. Makes it seem cluttered. Some floating shelves above it maybe , yes. And floor to ceiling slim wardrobes alway looks better than clothes on rails. They're cheap to make & customise to your own spec.

That room is pretty decently sized tbh, the only issue is that it doesn’t have a closet so there’s no place to put clothes at. My childhood bedroom was 3x2 meters (so 6 sq meters) but on one of the 2m long walls there was a built in closet floor to ceiling. However that left me with just a bed and not much more space for literally any other furniture, but it had plenty of storage (too much just for my personal stuff actually) and it was clean and it had a large window with plenty of natural light.
