ikon never disappoint edit: one of the best scenes (in my opinion) is the one with all the suitcases built up in a wall. This is all the baggage that the guy is keeping up on his shoulders, all his emotions are just put up in a wall that he can't pass through. I find that really beautiful

So much imagery going on here to represent the relative definition of being "okay". The way I interpret them... Television sets: You know when you're depressed and you sit on the couch with the TV on but you're not watching? Might as well watch static. The static/white noise also signifying "I'm working" b/c the TV's on, but the channel itself not working represents emptiness since there's no content. The oddly-stacked chairs: Disorganized but still supporting. It could represent a fallen order as if the chairs were originally all stacked in an organized manner but have now broken down. Still supporting you, but barely. The long hallway scene: "Trapped" with no desirable answer. How many times have you heard people say "it'll get better" or "time will heal all"? If you've ever been in this situation, how much do you like hearing that? Even if it's true, it's not what you want to hear so, you're trapped. Suits and car = funeral: How do you usually feel when attending a funeral of someone close? What will you usually say? Also, formal clothing tends to create distance between people. How do you typically interact w/ a person dressed casually? How do you typically interact with someone in a business suit? Casual = friendly and open, Suit = business only and distant. In relation to being "okay", their suits are saying "I'm doing alright, keep your distance". Parachute: Doesn't always guarantee a clean landing, but it will save your life. Depends on wind conditions and factors that lead up to the landing moment. As a metaphor to a breakup, if the breakup is good, you'll have a nice soft landing. If the breakup is bad, you'll land hard and probably break your legs... but you're still alive so... Luggage: the baggage of all you invested into the relationship, only to have it now be baggage you have to carry with you, which is heavy and burdening. Plastic bottles: they're all empty, so emptiness. And you're surrounded by it, overwhelmed by it, yet you're using it as a cushion which could signify the desire to be alone. Fire/Explosions: That's pretty straightforward.

And one of the final shots is a tire burning out. Literally symbolizing being psychologically burnt out. Also, in my interpretation, since the luggage is stacked and not carried, it creates a barrier in your life that's stopping you completely until you address/deal with it.

Jinhwan's part too i think it had a meaning , the chair his sitting with ropes tangled on it , and then the next scene he run away and the mv showed only the chair w/ ropes w/out jinhwan, i can't say it properly but i think it also means something

But Jay explained a lil bit in the making of the MV that the luggage represent the burdens that the person carried by himself and kept it to himself. So he stacked it up. Until he returned to stack up the burden again but when he saw there were too much, he ruined the stacks. Means he couldn’t carry the burden anymore. And the bottle part, Jay said that it’s a pretty bottle. But it’s empty. It represents that a person is okay outside but empty inside. Hope it helps.. cheers..

Yes, I agree with you on the lyrics. I think I'm okay is like a self defense mechanism when you're scared that you might breakdown if you start talking about your problems to someone, or when you can't find the words to explain, or you just in denial

I think the "I'm okay" isn't just an "I'm not okay". When people want others to ask deeper, to care more, to be concerned, the "I'm okay" or "I'm fine" becomes more of just "I'm not okay". But these boys are literally saying don't ask them, don't pity them, don't comfort them. This makes me believe the "I'm okay" is more of an "I will be okay. I'll survive." I know when I was having a harder time than normal I would actually say "I'm good" and not "I'm okay" because I didn't want anyone to ask me. I took comfort in solitude even when sometimes it was the solitude that was killing me.

I really relate to this song. I had horrible migraines for over a year. When they first started I told my parents about them and they told me "you're fine, suck it up." And it got to the point where I was in extreme pain every single day and I would just tell everyone I'm okay when I really wasn't. Because nobody believed me and didn't take me to the doctor in time I almost lost my vision. So this song just really hits home for me. It's okay not to be okay.

What I like about this song is that it can be interpreted many different ways. I agree with what you were saying Bris, that "I'm ok" can be a wall and make it harder for people to get through, but I also think that it can be interpreted like this as well: when you're going through something people have a tendency to try and make you feel better and they can feel sorry for you etc., but sometimes you need to be sad/hurt/alone, you just need to feel whatever it is that you're feeling so that you can get over it. It's like, I don't need you to tell me that 'I'll feel better one day' and 'it'll all be over soon'; I know that, but I am still feeling how I am right now and I have to go through the process to get to the other side. And often people don't really understand that and keep trying to help, so instead of dealing with explaining all of this you just say "I'm ok." Even if you're not okay right now, you know you will be eventually.

You're right it rrally gives deep meaning. It explains the meaning of I'M OKAY in almost 4 minutes I can't explain what I am feeling while watching and reading the lyrics, instead of feeling sad or depress I felt different ( I can't name the feeling!😅). last night i cried in my bed cuz i remembered how far away my dream was from being reality and before that my dad saw i was upset about something and asked me what was wrong and i told him. he said to go outside cuz itll make me feel better but instead i got deeper into my thoughts and i started crying but no one saw. when i came back inside he asked if i felt better and i shrugged and just said goodnight and went to bed cuz i didnt want to have to deal with him asking questions and stuff.... and then i cried myself to sleep. i personally relate to this song and i can still feel it on my eyes from crying.

Lot of celebrities are like that especially in kpop industry. They will show to us that they are ok but in reality they are not. Some of them seems they are strong on the outside but actually they are struggling of their real feelings in the inside...the loneliness, the anxiety, the depression they carrying until they cannot pass through it represented by that pile of luggage.
