This is actually a breakup tetralogy. We got *Love Scenario* first with a healthy breakup, then *Killing Me* with a more deep and hard breakup, then *Goodbye Road* , a guy who after a breakup wishes the best for his ex partner and *IM OK* , the end with a guy who after a breakup, keeps telling others he's OK and try to convince himself he doesn't need anyone's pity when he's actually really sad and needs help.

I'm OK is not part of the trilogy. Hanbin said it's actually about life with a bit of romance in the second verse. I'm OK is about Hanbin's mental health. This is what he said: "I'M OK is a story about how we face sadness that we don't understand as we live and how the formal and shallow comfort of others become a poison to you instead. To overcome such situation, rather than the comfort of others', even if it's sad, you need time to be alone to understand your feelings and sadness"

To me the "who broke up with who" is a kinda weird thing to focus on. To me the song is about accepting something in your life has changed, but still being able to cherish certain memories, and be thankful for whatever you gained during that period. I really like ya'll reactions :)

Oliver is right and the message of the song reflects Hanbin's philosophy in life. Fun fact: Love Scenario is inspired by the last 10 mins of La La Land. Hanbin wrote the song in just 2 hours. He is the only idol and youngest artist to win Songwriter of the Year. He is credited as the sole producer for all iKON albums and has written for almost all YG artists. All these before the age of 22. Under his leadership, iKON won Producer of The Year making them the only idols to win the award in history against other idols, producers, CEOs even beating their own company. iKON pretty much lead and do everything on their own. They suffer a lot of neglect and mistreatment from their company but they were able to rise from that. Aside from being self-produced, what I love about iKON's music is you would never hear a song from their discography that sounds similar to each other. Each has it's own distinct sound that shows Hanbin's creativity and versatility as a songwriter and iKON's ability as performers. I love that their vocals are distinct as well and they are great live performers.

This song was inspired by the ending scene in Lala Land where the two leads accidentally saw each other after a long time. The movie flashed back to memories when they were together, both young and full of dreams. They’ve now both achieved those dreams, but separately. In the final scene they gave each other a long bittersweet smile before parting ways. This song, for me, expressed with words and music what is behind that smile. Hanbin is a genius songwriter⭐️

According to the composer, B.I, he was inspired by the last scene from Lalaland, where both leads realize that they have loved each other and that is enough. This actually came before Killing Me. I believe the songs are not related in terms of chronology but rather show different perspectives on break-ups.
