Fantastic job. Not having a common ground in your shop brings back some old memories. I did a music tour in hungary, romania and the ussr in 1990. I had to jam a metal spike in the ground, outside a window, and run a ground wire out the window for our sound equipment. Good times.

@@8BombCustom I have a question that I was hoping you could answer. I am building a cherry burst 59 les Paul with nitro finishes and I was wondering if the les Paul would turn out a nice burst with no shadow layer and if not what else should I get. I am planning to use a layer of clear lacquer on the top to fill the wood a bit and then apply two colors for the burst. Will this work? If not what is the minimum rest I need to get a good burst. I am sightless limited in budget since I am younger than most so it would be appreciated if you knew any cheaper products. Thanks!

Thank you! Hi. Thank you. I am making my clones 59 LesPaul, but I not work to order. Only as art projects. This takes much more time, since I select the blanks at the sound intervals and often not all of them fit together. So for now, we select the wood and make the parts so that later there would be more options for the selection. I make LesPauls from start to finish, completely according to my preferences and in accordance with the concept of each project. It is up to me to decide what color and degree of aging each guitar will have. Finished projects will be sold through my KZbin channel at auctions in Patreon Email me 8bombcustom@gmail.com and I will put your email on the mailing list before the auction.

Hey brother great work as usual! Quick Question I checked your other videos I couldn't find info about the 1959 les paul scale length do you use 24.75 or 24 9/16? Also I've heard a lot of people saying many People checked the radius of the old les pauls and they were 10' at the nut and 12' at bottom thoughs personally I find 12 a little uncomfortable up high...

I thought the peter green les paul was not that red actually I thought it was mainly yellowish....sounds awesome you got the low end right :):)
@8BombCustom2 жыл бұрын
Thank you. LesPaul Greenie from the factory was a red burst. This is the standard color of the time. Some Les Pauls 60s have remained in this color now, since the red dye was replaced in 1960 with a more lightfast one. On the net, you can find some photos of Grini disassembled on a workbench, where a bright red circle is visible under the switch ring. This is the color that was originally.
@chrisdenzler42023 жыл бұрын
When spraying the yellow and red on top, don’t you worry about it getting on the back and sides? You don’t mask the back and sides while coloring the top?
@8BombCustom3 жыл бұрын
Yes, this time I tried to do it, as they did it in the factory too. A cloud of yellow varnish practically does not fall on the sides. Even if a few percent of the material is transferred to the side parts, this is not noticeable at all. This way works.

I'm hesitating to use any oily ingredients, if i want to varnish the guitar later, no mater if i would use nitro lacquer or french polish as i would use today.
@8BombCustom18 күн бұрын
@@donarmando916 Oils have different properties that also change during polymerization. Linseed oil is one of the fastest in oxidation and polymerization. It does not interfere with the adhesion of nitro lacquer or shellac. Also, as you probably know, during French polishing, shellac is polished with the addition of a drop of oil, which not only helps the tool slide, but also enters the shellac, softening the waxes contained in it. Therefore, there is no problem with oil. The main thing is not to use composite oils that contain teak oil or silicone oil.

Hi. Thanks for your comment. I am very sorry that it was not convenient for you to watch this video. Probably you very rarely watch videos with translation. But they quickly get used to it. Such technology. If you leave only the voice of the translator, you will get a dissonance between the picture and the sound. Of course, when films are dubbed, they select actors and characters. The text of the translation is written according to the timing and phrases so that it gets to the original translation ... But that's another story and completely different money. My translator has dubbed a big movie. Thanks to my subscribers on Patreon, I can pay for his services and make translations of my videos so that people around the world can watch them. Are you subscribed to my Patreon? There are many interesting things. Your subscription will help you make better translations and improve the quality of content.

@@8BombCustom hi hey no nono... my bad thinking you would like to know... its not my problem but now your generalizations about me are... i have a lot of experience with overdub sound levels. Neither the overdub or its timing was the issue. It was the original allowed to be left in the mix to become a very mud-dy audio experience. Also made what looked like a very high end guitar project rather, how to say: pedestrian. In fact if you check-out any you tube creator content DIY's you can discover that the audio clarity is right up there in what is considered a, in monetary terms, a viable video. Have a nice day.
