Thank you for the honest review. Recently got my hands on the Swampfox equivalent Warhawk 5-25x56 for comparison purposes against the Strike Eagle. I think it is more of a comparison compared to the Kentucky Long spec wise. The Strike Eagle's glass is great for the price for what it is. Currently using it on a CZ 457.

Great video, great info as always! It would be great to know what you think of the Element Optics "Titan" 5-25x56...is it a match against the Vortex "Strike Eagle" 5-25x56? Perhaps a upcoming video with 5-25x56 scopes from Element, Vortex, Vector Optics....and some other brands? ;)

I'll see what I can do. Given my backlog, there ay be other contestants at that point. I do not have any significant familiarity with Vector Optics, so I have no insight there. As I mentioned elsewhere, my plan is to use the Meopta Optika6 as my measuring stick for all of the sub-$1k scope of this type.

I like the organ music. Reminds me of some Vincent Price movies even though the tunes are different.

The melody is called "Rage". Not sure why it has that name, but I like it, so I use it.

Great review as always. Any reason why you didn't compare against the PST? I recall you saying the PST G2 is one of your recommended scopes, especially the 3-15 model.

Thank you. I try to keep objective diameters consistent. These were all 56mm scopes.

@@DarkLordOfOptics how do you think the SE compares to the 5-25 PST?
@DarkLordOfOptics3 жыл бұрын
@@MegaGouch I like the PST Gen2 a touch more overall, I think, but at higher mag there is an advantage to the larger objective.

Thanks for a well done thorough review and comparison, Very scientific, Take Joe back to school L.o.l Btw you should've compared it to the Titan scope

I do not have the Titan here or I would have. Joe is going to join the livecast next week, so I am sure this will come up.

@@DarkLordOfOptics Thank you DL, Element should've been sent you a Titan to get a thorough review in detail, The Titan has some excellent endorsements but they're all from possible Element promoters, I'm interested in buying 1 but waiting on a knowledgeable reviewer

I am not currently accepting new optics for review, until I clear my backlog. Once I do, I will take a look. My reference standard, of sorts, for scopes in this range is Meopta Optika6 5-30x56, so everything gets compared to that.

What is the plate you have the scopes mounted on for the tripod?
@DarkLordOfOptics3 жыл бұрын
It is the only one in existence. The guys from Kelbly made it and gave it to me when they did not need it any more. It is very convenient for doing side by side comparisons.

Thank you for this. For a final conclusion: Between the Optika6 and the Strike Eagle, which one of those would you choose if you had to?
@DarkLordOfOptics3 жыл бұрын
Optika6 5-30x56 is ultimately a better scope optically, but also a more expensive one. It sorta comes down to whether it is worth the money to you. I also prefer the reticle in it, but that is kinda natural since I designed it in the way I like. I would like to see a locking windage turret on the Optika6 though. I found that very useful on the Strike Eagle.
