It's a remake version of the "Blinding Sun" campaign from original IL-2.
The protagonist of the campaign - Lieutenant Nikolai Sokolov, a young commander of a squadron of MiG-3 fights at 519th IAP, which is part of the 47th mixed aviadivision. As part of the regiment, badly battered in the battles, they try to do everything possible to fulfill the orders of Air Division and Air Force of the Western Front commands. Poorly prepared offensive, commanders intrigue, lack of fuel and aircraft, cold, death of comrades - all attempts are to break the spirit of the young pilot ...
