LaGG3s were difficult and unpleasant planes to fly, and this one not only seems hyper capable but apparently has an unlimited ammunition supply. Not to speak of nice cooperative German gunners who don't fire back :D

Robert Willis " The LaGG-3 proved immensely unpopular with pilots. Some aircraft supplied to the front line were up to 40 km/h (25 mph) slower than they should have been and some were not airworthy. This happened less because of the added weight with full fuel and weapon loads in combat conditions, but specifically to the poor finishing in rushed industrial production, due to the German invasion. In combat, the LaGG-3's main advantage was its strong airframe. Although the laminated wood did not burn, it shattered when hit by high explosive rounds... .... Soviet pilots generally disliked this aircraft. Pilot Viktor M. Sinaisky recalled: It was an unpleasant client! Preparing the LaGG-3 for flight demanded more time in comparison with other planes. [T]here were constant problems with [the] water-cooled engines in winter.... [T]here was no anti-freeze liquid [and y]ou couldn't keep the engine running all night long, so you had to pour hot water into the cooling system ... in the morning. ... The airplane at 7.00 what did he do? By the tracks in the snow he backed up quiet a distance & on one wheel by the tracks left in the snow. Watch the tracks as they go out away from the plane

The Heikels do have some defense, it amazes me how a lone fighter can go through a formation with only a fuel leak REALLY!!! Guess you can also shoot down bombers with a bi plane?

Yes. The He111-H16 model had 3x 20mm guns which gave it some 'bristle' and deterred the most determined from dying for the Rodina

The 'Ostfront' was a low level air war. Typically most engagements lower than 4000m in close support of the ground troops. When precision bombing a bridge in 10/10ths snowstorm/cloud on a dark day for example, it is impossible to see the bridge at 8000m+, so you bring it down to 150m and drop the bombs on a 1s delay and hope the bridge isn't covered with alert flak gunners and there are no Soviet fighters circling above it. It was shit being a He111 pilot on the Eastern front.

parkourperson28 Yeah. Although the 4.0 patch is downloadable but has a bug in it. This means i can only download and install up to the 3.0 mini patch. Then after attempting to extract and install the 4.0 it simply comea up with a error message in both WINRAR and 7Zip. However trying to install the 4.01?? Patch or whatever it is tells me that i need to install the last update. Which is the one that gives me the errors.

You severely underestimate the amount of projectiles the guns could put forth in that short interval of time. The combined RPM of all guns was over 2500 and it meant the ability to pump almost 3 kg of lead into an enemy every second. The "couple of rounds" could have been 20+ hits.
