it's a song dedicated to Ken Saro-Wiwa, a Nigerian poet and activist for human right who was killed in 1995... sorry for my English. Rock on!!!

People who told you that Måneskin are the only rock band in Italy are probably teenagers lmfao who have grown up under ubiquitous trap/hip hop and think Måneskin are something new. Don't get me wrong in a way they are because they got mixed influences and are a great band. But Italian Rock has a long history. A lot of things had to happen to get a band like Maneskin in the international spotilight. Ask Xers and Millennials about it ;)

Don't you remember Ken Saro Wiwa? The Nigerian poet A hero of our times Don't you remember Ken Saro Wiwa? Because he loved too much They killed him in front of everyone Liars inside, murderers outside Cowards in uniform Whole generations deceived forever In cold blood Ken Saro Wiwa is dead Long live Ken Saro It's not the leaking roof, it's not the mosquitoes It is not petty food, it would not be enough for a dog It is not the nothing of the day that slowly sinks into the void of the night It's the lies That gnaw at your soul Lurking, as always, is the fear of dying Don't you remember Ken Saro Wiwa? The Nigerian poet A hero of our times Don't you remember Ken Saro Wiwa? Because he loved too much They killed him in front of everyone I do not give up You'll only get me with a shot from behind I don't forget, and I don't give up I do not give up It is in indifference that a man A real man, he really dies How big is Ken Saro Wiwa's heart Perhaps the whole of Africa The nothingness of the day sinks slowly into the void of the night You killed Wiwa Thieves in limousines, God damn you You will pay for everything and you will pay dearly They killed Ken Saro Wiwa Saro Wiwa is still alive They killed Ken Saro Wiwa Saro Wiwa is still alive Liars inside, murderers outside Cowards in uniform Whole generations deceived forever In cold blood

Il Teatro degli Orrori was a very important piece of the history of alternative rock in Italy. Nothing to have to do whit Maneskin. Maneskin is an expression of the mainstream.

Regarding Il Teatro degli Orrori, we can possibly say that they are the Italian version "One Dimensional Man". They have in common two members (one is the singer) but Il Teatro have Italian lyrics and ODM have English lyrics. Personally, I'm not fond of their style which is mostly based on reciting lyrics on a rock base. They are not easy to listen to and I admit that I prefer groups that know how to combine poetry and / or political commitment with "catchiness". But it's just a personal taste, of course. There is another quite new Italian rockband which I recommend. They are "I Giardini di Chernobyl". They started around 2014 and released two albums and an EP. A song to suggest is "Un infinito inverno".

I once tried to buy a Latte in Italy but didn't say it was a coffee and they asked me "Caldo o Freddo?" The milk that was. 😂 I instantly understood what I did wrong. We didn't want hot or cold milk. 😂😅 COFFEE with milk in Sweden is Latte! LOL On the eastern coast on my/our way from Venice to Riccione/Rimini,. Nice car ride down the coast. 🥰

I am following your reactions and I like it very much. Italian music is the greatest in the world. I'm not just talking about quality, but also about quantity. it is no coincidence that the musical language was born in Italy, spoken as "a cappella" they are Italian. so going too random with the choices might not give you a precise idea of what Italian music is in the end ;) better have a roadmap

Such an interesting and a bit awkward experience to get to see one of my favorite songs from your perspective. Yes, this song is an Anthem. And Il Teatro degli Orrori have been singing struggles of minorities and forgotten people. I feel like the Italian music scene hasn't yet filled the void they left when they broke apart. I would like to share this song with you as well: "Noi fuori" from "I Ministri" kzbin.info/www/bejne/jp2toHaieLicb7M Another anthem that represents my entire generation, the millennials. Born in an era of transition and of changing values. Confused and lost and often a disappointment for our families.

Hi Ang, this is a harsh comment. We knew that Måneskin's recognition would have brought someone to explore italian rock music. You did that and I'm gratefull to you. Please don't react to Vanadium band. The singer of this band Pino Scotto is a big Måneskin hater, he doesn't deserve recognition. He is so fillfilled of itself that will not accept just to think to be gratefull for them anyway. My opinion.
