+8rr725 In some sense we are, but it's also a big stereotype about us. Like french people are romantic, black people are great dancers, chinese people are smart and hard-working... positive stereotypes are still stereotypes. In Italy we do have conflicts in our families, or just need to take a break from it all at some point, and move 1000 km away from mom. Not every italian young man is a mama's boy who is cool with living with parents until 30 and cannot wash his own underwear by himself. Hospitals are full of grandpas and grandmas to whom nobody gives a damn. There are siblings who barely meet on Christmas, cousins who learn about each other's existence in their late teens and relatives who refuse to talk to each other for years. Big sunday family lunches can sometimes be a curse too. So nope, we are not like freshly out from a 90s pasta tv advertisement ;-)
