A tip, always try to land in the right direction of the runway. The torches indicate the start of the track (head). You two were landing the wrong way, and the A20 was taking off in the right way. Congrats, Great kills you both.

True we did come in the wrong direction. when we took off we were alone at that air base, so both of us assumed there was no traffic (but you know what they say about "assuming"). But I will say that I look both directions for damaged planes limping back not able to make a proper approach. The couple minutes I may have to wait is better than 2 dead pilots.
