Especially musicians who play in bands known worldwide, with millions of fans and who have already sold millions of records. Neither NIN are an unknown band (as you rightly said), nor "they" were going to have some regular joe playing with "them".

You have such a great taste and finesse in the way you play the drums! It's really something to watch, man! Your energy, your use of dynamics, your metronome precision, your creativity, so well supported by your knowledge of different drum languages, the fills and/or details you choose to do, which always respect not only the "main drum beat", but mainly, the song itself (something that so many drummers fail do, with unnecessary fillings or overplaying, for example). It's always about enhancing the music/song and never compromising it, and they're always surprisingly vibrant, interesting and spot on. One of the best drummers out there. Much respect, man.

It's pretty interesting how, despite being 14 years apart, you don't play this song all THAT different to how you played it when you first started playing it with NIN back in 2009! It's got some flourishes here and there, but it largely sounds like a more matured version of the way you played it back then. Super cool.
