all I needed to see was the very first image to be sure this is orwo colour

I liked some of the shots I got on that roll you have me a while back. I would definitely use this again for street photography!

Looks almost identical to Fujifilms Classic Chrome emulation on their digital cameras. When the grain is set to strong and large. Looks lovely imho

Just snagged a roll of this at B&H on a whim. We'll see how it does!

Good, succinct review as per usual. I'd appreciate this film for contexts where colors seem incoherent or garish but I'm not certain about commiting to b&w. But I don't think I can justify it at the US price point.

Yeah that's fair!

shot a roll in Japan on the Konica Big Mini F and the vibes it creates are amazing - might just be my personal taste though

Glad to hear it, that's a good camera too!

Would love to try it soon! But it does seem that the prices vary a lot, over here in West EU it’s about 18€, so almost as much as Portra 400 😅
@pushingfilm5 күн бұрын
Yeah that's unfortunate! hopefully the price will drop.

It's Wolfen, isn't it?

This would be really nice if they made it in 120

I wish you could compare it to Wolfen NC500 and maybe Lomochrome Color 92/Color 92 "sun kissed"

Loved Ilfochrome, shame they don't make it any more, colour reversal film is currently a ridiculous and unrealistic price.

Kodak is made in the USA so it makes sense its cheaper in the states

It looks like cleaner Orwo 500

it costs the same as Ektar 100 in the US. dead on arrival.
@AnthonyJGianotti5 күн бұрын
It’s just such a hard sell at $15 USD per roll, it costs the same as bulk Portra 400 🤯
@pushingfilm5 күн бұрын
I feel like 10-13 would make it more reasonable in the US

The film looks interesting, although it has nothing to do with Ilford or Harman. The Ilford branding of this film is just shameful and not too dissimilar to AgfaPhoto stuff. The main problem with this sort of film is the pricing. Someone is having a laugh as we say in England. Thanks for the review and the nice photos.

Honestly, I never pay attention to those claims. If you change your oil regularly (like every 6 months or 5,000 miles for synthetics, and 4 months or 3,000 for conventional) you shouldn't have any issues with sludge and stuff over time (providing you use an oil that is SAE rated and is compatible with your vehicle). I have run vehicles to around 200k and none of them produced sludge or other nasty stuff and I used a variety of different oils (although mostly Valvoline and Mobil 1). Keeping your oil clean, and topped off is the key to long engine life. The other stuff is just marketing junk that probably doesn't really amount to much.
