I know most people will hate this , but I'm still gonna say it, why do I feel like I watch Yuzuru, Ilia's fluidity and grace reminds me of the 17yr old Yuzuru's 2012 Romeo and Juliet long program, in Helsinki, 😭. I can see that their movements are quite similar.

You can just see his improvement with this program from worlds, his fluidity and emotion have really increased, not to mention confidence with a lot of the quads and other jumps.

I never thought I'd live long enough to see someone land a 4axel in competition...then again, I said the same thing about women landing the quad.

Wish there wasn’t so much noise in the background so that we could hear what Roman and Ilia were saying, or else cut the audio in the kiss and cry. Nosy fans want to know!

I really like this athlete, his skating, his power and style nevertheless, in this attempt he pre-rotates, as he jump, by one quarter and when landing he did not over-rotate to catch up, actually he does not even close the under the quarter. Its clear when you play in slow motion but the jump is missing between quarter and half. It is a Quad but not fully executed (underrotated).

Most skates overrate by like a half when they do 3A and nobody is calling out at them that they shouldnt be ratified, his 4a technique is as solid as many other skaters 3A
@geoks.5097 ай бұрын
only for lutz and flip you should not rotate more than a quarter for good techniques. for the other jumps pre-rotation is normal. :)

Are you a missing member of the technical panel, as clearly they have more than one experts with the aid of software and videos to see the jumps clearly both in real time and slow mo. Say you're criticizing without saying you're criticizing... THE JUMPS ARE TEXT-BOOK PERFECT. HAVE A CHILL.

Negative, its impossible to prerotate less than a 1/4 on the axel and he landed inside the 1/4 so it was clean. At least you tried 🤡

i think his skating skills just need polishing. crazy this is only his first senior season!

@@tanyaperez5897 and his technique is actually very good considering the content he’s doing and how difficult it is! he has one of the best flips in the competitions right now, in my opinion. once he fleshes out his artistry and skating skills he could be untouchable

This young man has the best and most technical lutz jump I've ever seen... deep outside edge, pure toepick takeoff, less than 1/4 prerotation, gorgeous in-air position, and a clean landing. It's better than Yuzuru Hanyu's lutz. His jumps are technically excellent.
