It seemed like Volk lost his focus in the 2nd round, and he was basically just moving backwards not really doing any offensive striking. He looked somewhat shocked or surprised before getting clipped. Bisping did a really good call, he said something like: "Volk might be better to do some offense" just before the knockout happened. It's possible that Topuria's confidence really played a factor here.

The difference between Garry and Topuria was striking. Both are brash and confident. But one keeps it professional and just walks the talk. While the other guy delivers mediocre performances after getting hailed as the next superstar at every turn. Garry likes to make it personal only to complain when it's suddenly his turn. Fans don't like this hypocrisy and they prefer an authentic, natural rise of a fighter.

Neither Yair nor Ortega deserve a title shot with a single W over the other. U only have to look at their recent records to see that. They're inactive, have been gifted title shots before, are not former champs & their resumès & Ws aren't anything special, so they don't warrant any special consideration. Alex does have power and us rugby players tackle well and fast. He should just blast double instead of running back while under fire. His wrestling and ground an pound is hell. The speed of his tackle of yair is a perfect example. Personally, I think his team lost him the fight, sorry but if I had a student that could hang with Islam on the ground, and is soo strong facing an incredible boxer, (illia) faster, better technique in combo setups, faster twitch. My plan would be all or nothing "Khabib" him. Wild knees, hooks etc then use that strength and smesh. Volk cannot be subbmitted??? I guarentee he is wayy stronger" (Not boxing) but on the ground. Volk has a better resume than Jon Jones or GSP. I hate when GSP and Jon are named as the best fighters in history. The problem is, Jon and GSP both stopped fighting when the younger, stronger guys came around. Volk beat Max Holloway cleanly in the 3rd fight. GSP was never able to beat Hendricks, although the judges gave him a false win. And Jon Jones has that atrocious Dominick Reyes fight. Jon left before facing Jan Blachowicz in his prime. When Max wins the BMF title against Gaethje, it will make Volk's resume even that much better. GSP and Jon never faced anyone with the takedown defense, boxing, and unbreakable chin of Max.

I think ilias ko was better than mcgregors; mcgreggors was like masvidals knee or Marquez ko Pacman the planets aligned it was a skilled lucky punch that made history But ilia beat up Volk squarely, he went toe to toe out boxed him for the whole fight , he connected several combinations and finished him properly. It leaves no doubt, Volk is getting the rematch here just because who he is not because it makes sense, aldo-connor who knows how it wouldve gone down, masvidal-askren who knows, no one sane can say Topuria outclassed Volk easily
