There's a problem with each guy putting up his belt. The winner takes both, and both will be on the line the next time he fights. That means they meld together, and the BMF belt becomes an afterthought. Sure, you can always separate them out in different fights---one fight, it's for the weight class title, another time, it's for the BMF title. But (1) if you get beaten for either one, the winner claims that in essence he won the other belt too. And (2) separating out BMF/weight class title slows everything down. Title fights are half as frequent as they were before. UFC needs to think about this.

The BMF title should be up for grabs once a year on International fight week. Whoever wins it gets the right to be known as the BMF for the next year and earn a large monetary bonus kinda like how Max got for winning the title and then the following year the belt goes up for grabs but in a different division with different fighters in order to keep it circulating.

BMF belt needs a qualification. It needs to be someone, who did not care who he fights and had exciting fights throughout his career. But imagine if BMF becomes an Open Weight class belt of UFC. Or at least there's a limit that the challenger should at least be with in 2 weight class difference than the current champion. Chael! Thoughts on the fact that the BMF can't ever make its way to the females side of things? You'd have to make another BMF belt for the females since there's no way to have a female fight a BMF male champ for it. Someone asked Dana about this at the 300 press conference and he didn't seem to get the point, his answer was something like "it's the BMF belt, why would you need another one? The baddest is the baddest!" ... but you can't have a female ever hold the belt then since they won't ever be able to fight for it, so how do we work around this situation? Is there never a female BMF belt? Or do we make one now? Perhaps Harrison-Nunes fight for the inaugural one?

BMF should not be lineal.That makes it just another belt. It should be permanent. You shouldn't be able to take it by beating a BMF title holder. This also allows the UFC to promote any fight at any weight class at any time a BMF title fight.

Ilia Topuria won the world title and immediately listed off top contenders that he did not want to fight. Now he wants the BMF but made it clear, that they fight where and when he wants to. These things are the opposite of the BMF.

Max should fight Conner at 155 for the BMF belt if Conner beats chandler. If Conner loses to chandler then max should fight ilia for 145lb belt

Getting the undisputed belt where one of the primary reasons was avoiding a particular person is opposite of what a BMF is regardless if it was his choice or not. Maybe in a few years

I actually think the BMF belt should be awarded to the winner and loser. And it shouldn't necessarily be held. Lets be real, the BMF fight is awesome because its matching up two fighters that.are fan favorites because od their styles, their personalities and their long history enertaining fans. Illia wamt to jump.the line for the BMF belt too?

If he want to fight for the BMF then have him come up to 155 to fight max. Can’t call for a BMF title and make the title holder drop back down to 145. Max prove he can jump up to 155 and knock out the number 1 title contender in that division. IIia want that BMF label then step up in weight to do it too.
