One of my favorite parts in Arcane is how Viktor is the one to say "there is always a choice" but near the end when Jayce tells him people should choose their fates, Viktor replies with "choice, is FALSE" really showing how far he's gone with his own ideals vs what he used to believe

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!! I love how you can always tell the amount of influence the hexcore has over Viktor in any bit of dialogue by the amount of voices layered over his own voice. Fantastic edit. Shows his story so well. I do wish two little words hadn’t been included though. “Your disease.” It still irks me how they phrased that. “You always wanted to fix what you thought were weaknesses, your leg, your disease. But you were never broken.” In what twisted world is a disease that is actively killing you not considered a weakness to be cured? There’s absolutely an argument to be made that Viktor’s struggle with his leg related disability was a fundamental part of shaping him as a person. But the disease that only late in life began to kill him? It’s absurd that the writers thought lumping those two things together was a good idea. One is a disability, the other is an immediate threat to Viktor’s life. I probably get so worked up about this because I’ve lived with a rather dramatic disability the last 15 years of my life, and it’s had a bit of impact on who I’ve become, but I’ve accepted it and incorporated it into my life philosophy. It’s not fatal, though. The idea that we shouldn’t struggle against and continue to try and overcome something that is literally going to kill you soon is insanity. It’s like Jayce was saying “accept that you’re dying, but don’t feel that it’s a weakness. View you dying as part of who you are.” It’s insulting. I’m much more “rage against the dying of the light.” I think most humans are, am I wrong?
