I find that this robot does a good job helping. It does not replace manual mopping. As a general rule, we remove our shoes inside the house. However, due to yard work and a dog, red clay is constantly being brought in. These are my tips on the mop feature: 1. Use it for 2 rooms max before refilling tank. 2. Always, always, always wet your mop pad thoroughly before applying to the mop tray attachment. I even spray some floor cleaner or a disinfectant all-purpose cleaner on the bottom of the wet mop pad. ### If I spray the floors, then I got spots and streaks, 3. Using the wet mop pad, take a few seconds to manually wipe the areas where the bot couldn't reach- behind toilet, corner, etc. 4. Hand scrub the mop head with some soap and make sure the water runs clear before moving to the next section. 5. I like to mop the least dirty sections first, saving the dirtiest sections last. This helps with the contamination of cleaner areas from dirty sections. There is no way I am going to mop my upstairs after my downstairs since that part is the worst. If you are doing a bathroom where 'accidents' happen on the floors around the toilet then get a fresh mop head- or do this section last. 6. After doing a cleaning, definitely put the mop head in a bucket to wash in your machine - Don't wash the mop head with your clothes. Do a separate load for them. I gather all of my mop heads and cleaning cloths and do a load 1x monthly. So have spares. My easiest manual method is using the DREDGE XL flat mop. Those mop heads are fantastic. 7. When my floors are super bad, I run the bot on scrubbing mode from the app, then grab by Dredge, and manually mop, and then run the bot again- if still needed. I am telling you the clay is horrendous. 8. The app is all I use. I put it in scrubbing mode. I don't bother trying to save a map anymore. I never could get it to 'select' a room anyway. 9. The no go zones are horrible. I wasted so much time. So, I just block those areas off. 10. The section where I have my large living room rug on my tile floor is just done manually, since I never could get the no go zone properly set. 11. Charging: Don't assume that it is charged if on the docking station. If it's been a while since you had it run, make sure it's charged.

The mop mode is in the app. 'scrubbing' gets the 'Y shape' mopping to work.
