The iLife Shinebot W450 is a significant upgrade over the previous generation Shinebot W400. With the NEW panoview Camera system, WiFi control, updated Extractor bar, the already good wet mopping robot is a lot better.
In this video we will look at the mopping performance, the iLife Shinebot W450 features, what included in the box and if I would recommend the robot.

Hey Nathan, thanks for the video. What would you say is the better robot for tiled floors? Roborock S7 or the iLife W450? From what I read, S7 has great mopping functionality and the vacuum cleaning is a bonus. If the mopping only feature of the W450 is better than the S7, then maybe I don't need the vacuum feature anyway. I'm very torn, any advice?
@RobotMasters

From what I experienced, the w450 great at mopping wet spills. The S7 is a good overall vacuum cleaner and mopping robot, so personally I would go with that. It more expensive over the w450 but has a lot more functionality.

Good day Nathan....I've been looking at the ShinebotW450. Would you happen to be able to comment on how it handles mopping under kitchen table and chairs? Currently my Roborock S5 navigates quite well between my 16 chair legs and 4 table legs without getting trapped. Of course its not the best mopper by a huge margin. How do you think the Shinebot W450 would do between table and chair legs?
@RobotMasters
@RobotMasters 3 жыл бұрын
Well since the w450 sits up taller, your chair legs and tables have to be very tall for the robot to get under. If that the case, I think the robot should do fine. The navigation isn’t as efficient as the Roborock but will be able to cover all the areas given enough time.

The w450 is one of the few mopping robots that has a separate dirty and water tank. The robot can handle small liquid spills, where the other ones can’t like the S7. As for the mopping performance the S7 and Braava m6 did the best. If you want a good vacuum/mopping robot the S7 the best. If you want the best dedicated mopping robot than the Braava Jet m6 is what I recommend.

How much better is this mopping than the roborock s7? Is it worth getting a dedicated robo mop and robo-vac? Or can the s7 do it all?
@RobotMasters
@RobotMasters 3 жыл бұрын
So the benefit of getting the W450 is it can handle wet spills. Also with the dirty water tank it helps remove the dirty water that a traditional mop may leave behind. For small areas the S7 mopping system fine, just make sure to keep the mopping pad clean as it gets very dirty quickly. As for their ability to remove stains both do equally well.

So the robot creates a new map each time. You do have the option to tell the robot to clean a specific area within a room. You can't setup no mopping zones in the App, but the robot won't go on to Carpet. I do recommend clearing the area from small objects prior to mopping.

@@RobotMasters how can you tell it to mop certain area if it doesnt remember the map? And can it mop full house? Couple separated rooms etc?
@RobotMasters
@RobotMasters 3 жыл бұрын
@@eitanskital7735 So how the area select works is there a virtual bound area in the App that in front of the robot. When the user places a square or rectangle in that area the robot will estimate where that area is. It not for an entire floor plan with multiple rooms, only for a single area. The robot is designed for single area use, will need to refill the water tank and empty the dirty water tank often of covering an entire home, but it can do an entire home.

It is, the most hands off, the W450 can handle wet spills.
@Trikkie87
@Trikkie87 2 жыл бұрын
The narwal is actually worse than this. This is because the Narwal just cleans the brushes, wets them and then goes and does an area before returning again to clean. While this system is better than traditional vacuum/mopping bots, it still leaves quite a bit of dirty water on the floor. The w450 has this problem much much less because it constantly supplies fresh water to the brush while also constantly removing the dirty water left by the brush. For keeping a floor properly clean the w450 just beats the shit out of the narwal at only 1/4th of the price because it actually removes much more of the dirty water than the narwal does.

Major differences between W400 and W450?
@RobotMasters
@RobotMasters 3 жыл бұрын
Here what I can tell. The navigation and the ability to connect to WiFi to use your smartphone to control the W450 is the main differences. The W400 didn't have a camera for navigation, used accelerometers and gyros. The added camera helps the robot reposition it self in an area for better navigation tracking. Also there some App features like live Maps, being able to slow the robot's speed, Extractor bar and water flow. That is something you didn't have on the W400. Lastly the W450 includes a redesign extractor bar and some additional acessories like cleaning solution and cleaning tools.

Every single other “mopping” robot is just a moistening swiffer at best, and will just smear gunk or pet puke and urine around your house. @@ansnfbsknanssshshbsnsndnd5438 not completely sure what you meant by your comment, -but pretty sure narwhal is discontinued- . And the ilife is not discontinue but came out with a newer model. The older one I believe was discontinued.

ILife W450 or Braava Jet M6?
@RobotMasters
@RobotMasters 3 жыл бұрын
Hmmm tough question!!! The Braava m6 has more mapping features. Also uses a different method of mopping. I think if I had to choose which one mops better, I would lean towards the W450. You can slow the robot down which allows a more intense cleaning for dried up stains. I felt the spinning brush had more agitation than on the static mopping pad of the m6. Lastly the W450 can Mop up liquids. The M6 is more expensive but offer more App features and the ability to auto recharge. It really boils down to what features you want or need.

@@RobotMasters OMG ROBOROCK RELEASED THE NEW T7S PLUS TO THE CHINESE MARKET. IT HAS THE VIBRARISE TECHNOLOGY, SELF-EMPTYING BIN, AND REACTIVE3D (Using Lasers and not cameras). This also confirms that the Self-Emptying base will be sucked through the brushroll. THE SELF-EMPTYING DOCK HAS THE OPTION BETWEEN BAGS AND BAGLESS!

Sorry to hear about your bad experience with the iLife mopping robot. So a lot of these robots I showcase on my channel are ones I receive to for free in exchange for review. I try to show what these robots are capable of, but mainly focus on the functions and features. Even the best performing robot mop may not perform the best in your environment aka home. Where you able to find a mopping robot that worked well for you? Anyways thanks for sharing your experience and have great rest of your day!!!
