Buy new scissors and ONLY use them for fabric. You're having trouble cutting because you used the scissors on paper which makes them dull.

Brilliant! I just got a new puppy and she loves to be carried but at the same time we're in the middle of a heat wave, neither of us is enjoying and now I can make this from a 100% cotton shirt that will bring out her beautiful eyes. might even water it down and enter her in a wet t shirt contest. j.k. Although she's so dang cute she would probably win! Thank you so much!
