Hi there, I know you love birds but please consider what they need before you get them. I had a Quaker for over 10 years. They are green dragons that have demands and needs that you must understand or they will get overly stressed. I suggest you reconsider what you have your monk/Quaker in. It needs a cage 1000x bigger than that. As well start researching how to build trust with your birds from reputable sites and channels. Take good care.

Irresponsible way of introducing the birds you have to the new ones. You also should quararaine them and first let them get used to their cage and surroundings before letting them roam free or handle them. The new birds could have diseases.. This was really stressful for the new birds and the ones you already had. Also the reason why yours started attacking the baby and flew against the window. DON'T house the budgie with lovebirds. Lovebirds are terretorial and will attack the budgie!

Next time, better buy a chick from a local breeder. At least 2-3 weeks of age, and then you can handfed the chick. The chick will soon bond with you, imprinting to him that you are his parent. More bond with you and then you can teach tricks as well such as fetch, roll over, even free flight and will go back to you once you called his name.

Talk in a comforting voice and do not force your hand by inserting to the cage and getting them. Talk to them always and call their name. Let him simply familiarize first with your voice and just pplayfully tap ur finger outside cage. And then when he eats or drinks, give praises like good bird so he knows hes doing it right.

It may seems funny to people how you interact with your birds, but - not to roast you or anything - what you are doing is not quite the right way. You should have unboxed them and put them into a BIGGER cage directly. you can't have them flying around at least for one or two weeks because they could hurt themselves or your other birds. They have to get used to their new surroundings. Luki was afraid of the new big one and flew into your window, even if she knew it was there, so scared she was. For the sake of your new birds, give them time to get in touch with each other - and please please please dont keep the lovebirds with other species in the same cage and also for the first weeks not together in one cage. Lovebirds are sometimes brutal killers - they also kill mates.. if you don't want you birds to fly against the windows, maybe you should put post its on them, instead of clipping their wings.. i mean i'm no expert, but also the cuddling and touching after unboxing.. your birds are so f*ckin afraid of you in that moment.. they dont want to be touched.. give them time please.. no hate! you have your heart at the right place, you do very much right..
