OMG...!! I told my husband that I wanted to convert our garage into a bar and we've both been stuck at the "where do we begin" stage. I've watched multiple videos but still couldn't get started...until I saw yours...!! What a VIBE...!! I thought it would cost me thousands of dollars to do but your video proved me wrong. Your "cave" looks great and I can't wait to get started on our...!! Keep up the fascinating work...!!

I loveee to hear that. Trust me, me and the wife definitely trying to stick to the budget but to the point of what you said, little by little. Now we did build this but like I said in the video literally learned how to cut wood from KZbin. 😅😅 We’ve made some updates to date but you just gotta start it. Wishing you and your hubby luck on your project and thank you for sharing your thoughts here on my video 🤍🖤🙌🏽🙌🏽

This was epic bro, you had the vision and you pulled it off. Wifey should be proud of you for pulling this off. The best part is that you started a foundation to keep on upgrading that space and I know for a fact its only get better from seeing you redo your desk setup vids. You should def get some plants going near that bar with a nice pic of some kinda outdoor scene to make it seem like that bar is on beach somewhere! nice video man cant wait to see the upgrades!

Thanks a lot Adrian. Yes she was proud her only request was that it didn’t wobble so she said I did well lol You know it bro gotta start off budget and over time can make it even more awesome. Would be cool to film some videos in the new space as well…I love your suggestions with the plants and pictures to make it feel more alive.

Great job. You will a get addicted to the woodworking lol. A simply desk build is modifying the Home Depot desk. I did one on my. channel. wood worker here, loved the video, in the future i would do a resin/epoxy top to seal the top and protect it, easy clean up, and give it that bar look and feel. other than that badass good job
@WilliamNevius3 жыл бұрын
Ahah thanks a lot Trent especially for the insight of resin/epoxy I definitely notice untreated wood can leave stains like red and blue colors that are hard to get out. It’s so many stains out there and it got overwhelming lol plus I liked the wood color finish. Would you recommend a good one that will keep my wood the same color but also has epoxy to help protect for stains ? Thanks again for your kind words. Not bad for the first wood project. I definitely want to build more things now with how you’re able to customize vs buy and save some coins.
@trentbuescher47253 жыл бұрын
@@WilliamNevius you can buy straight up 2 part epoxy and just cover it in clear resin, it’ll give that gel feel protect it and protect from water rings, pretty much any stain isn’t gonna like liquor spilled on it and water rings. Just youtube finishing a wooden bar top, currently driving but i can look up some videos i’ve watched and drop the links.

Love it! We are looking into making our garage into a gaming room! Did you do anything to keep bugs out? We have a gas heater and will be putting in a window AC. I was curious if you have climate controll in your garage?
@WilliamNevius3 ай бұрын
Hey thank you! Gaming room sounds amazing. Where I grew up i always had a basement similar tho this setup so a garage was my only hope to keep it going lol Yes now we have a heater/ac unit we installed. We just had to cut a hole for the unit and it’s all good. For bugs we sealed up any holes and each summer we spray the entire house to keep them out. You definitely need ac for a bunch of electronics 😄 Hope it turns out better than you’d hope for
@jonathannadela94093 жыл бұрын
Do you have AC to the garage? Are you worried about temperature and moisture cycles affecting furniture and electronics?
@WilliamNevius3 жыл бұрын
I do have A unit. The garage is well insulated. Before we decided to do this we’ve hung out there and never had a problem with moisture but that is a good thought. Also for furniture we used an older couch so not too worried. We even installed a garage so we can open up the garage and not have to worry too much about bugs. Getting a bug zapper was also one of the best decision we’ve made with our garage build ahah

Being well organized does help. At first, I had to get rid of a bunch of stuff. We have an outside shed that I took all of my yard tools out to and utilized in the attic for more storage. it can be done; you just may need to find a way to organize everything and get rid of things you may not need

what ipad do you have? is it good / precise for sketching
@WilliamNevius Жыл бұрын
my ipad is an older ipad mini. All ipads are almost equal when it comes to precise for sketching so I dont think you can go wrong. You can always check them out on display @ the apple store or a best buy to try it out before you purchase

This looks 🔥how do you keep it warm/cool?

We have a small unit for heat and air but it’s still a struggle especially when real cold outside lol but it works. We mostly entertain guest but it always works out.

Quick question.. How wide is the top of the bar from side to side? About 8 feet or so?
@WilliamNevius8 ай бұрын
Yes I made it 8feet long.

It looks awesome. You’ve inspired me. I’m gonna do something similar. I’m gonna do the exact bar. Any tips for building it?
@WilliamNevius6 ай бұрын
@@to6955thanks a lot family! My best tip is to trust your measurements and trust the process. Decide on what the build will be and go all in. If everything is measured correctly it will come out right. 😊

Very nice, inspiring project. I'm in the process of doing something similar. Do you often have the garage door open? (Curious)
@WilliamNevius2 жыл бұрын
We will live it up sometimes when we’re having like a cookout or lots of people over. We also have a garage door screen so the bugs can’t get in when it’s opened up. And thanks a lot homie

@@WilliamNevius You are welcome. I'm moving my bar back to the main house garage this summer ... I hope to post how it turns out.
