Fun fact, the actor is the singer of this song. In fact he was chosen to play this part because of his talent to sing without any microphone, back in the days, they have to stand in the stage and sing so loudly without compromising the quality so they develop this skill and strong ability strong voice to sing so loudly it can be heard from a distance. He was trained like that, but when this movie came out, it was "modern" time period for him, so his old skills weren't really being used as everything shifted towards cinema instead of stage shows at that time. Just a really great singer. The funny thing is, in this movie, the plot itself is ironic. He is singing to god, praising the god. The king that rules was challenged by a singer in another territory that if a good singer in his town can beat him in a singing competition. Local singers were afraid to participate because the challenger is well talented and losing to him means death or prison time by their king, for brining shame to their province. Without being able to find any local singers, they decide to approach this guy who only sings to god and not professionally for money. According to the plot, he too was afraid, so he cries to god, who comes to rescue him. But in reality, like outside the movie, this is THE GUY who can really sing, and him playing a role, a character which gets afraid of any competition doubting his own skills is so ironic and funny. Because in reality, everyone should be afraid to face against him if it were real life.
